  • "Still using Android 4.2 OS on your android tablet? It is kind of out of date." Huh?

Nice looking tablet for the money.

    • Sorry for the mistake. Corrected!

  • Looks like it will only have 3g speeds with Telstra. 1024 x 600 is also a bit of a let down.

    • +2

Yes, it would be great if the resolution is 1280 x 800. Anyway, Ainol wants to provide cost effective tablets, and it is hard to balance the price and function.

    • It does WCDMA2100 - isn't that still the main frequency in the city for Voda & Optus?

  • 1024x600 screen. No Play Store.

I expect it does voice calls, yes?

    • Google Play Store and voice calls are available.

      • Why do the specs say only "support APK file installation"? No mention of Google apps anywhere.
You mean it can be hacked like the Kindle?

        • -2

You know the answer, why ask ?

        • i thought ainol officially get playstore? i.e. pays loyalty to google?
ainol was 1st endorsed by google for their tablet during ICS.

    stated 850MHz 3G……. and cheaper?

  • Seems identical with Freelander PX2. That one was USD 149.99 recently.
Biggest let down is clearly the screen resolution. Otherwise pretty handsome tablet I think.

  • Looks pretty good. The Freelander PX2 had reported terrible battery life though
Thoughts on battery life for this one??.About time Ainol had a tablet with builtin 3G
I also dont see anywhere where it says what storage it comes with. 1GB ram but is it 4 or 8gb rom etc?

    • 8GB ROM.

      • Doesnt list it on specs. I saw it on another site…

  • Never tried 7" Ainol. Might give one to my wife.
