Coles Mitcham has a pack of the green flavoured chewing gum for 50c a pack.
The best before date on all packs is 11/9/13. Not sure if there are any side effects of consuming after the best before date. Possibly a laxative effect if there is excessive consumption.?
They had about 6 rows plus more in the Lolly section.
Coles Caulfield, next to the train station was doing these for $0.20 about two weeks ago. Grabbed two boxes, each containing 10 packs for $4. I can confirm that excess consumption does have a laxative effect.
I always wondered about that warning - what exactly is "excess consumption" 1 pack per day? per hour?

you'd be hard pressed to find any gum that wasn't made from synthetic rubber nowadays pinkporridge, as opposed to chicle. AFAIK the brand Glee Gum is about the only one still using manilkara tree gum http://www.gleegum.com/order.htm
