It's that time of the year again ! Looks like they've introduced a new 'premium' package too which has these additional features,

  • Additional NBA content* such as documentaries, studio shows and original programming
  • NBA TV Live subscription*, which brings top highlights and exclusive access to NBA events and press conference
  • Home and away announcers* available

Might be handy to wait for someone to try via another country (Hungary, Spain, Canada ?) to get the price down further.

HOW TO SIGN UP WIKI

1) Find country with cheapest plans. Right now (9:27 AEST) it seems to be India with premium being US $139.99 and normal being $99.99. Thank you jayc

2) Go to www.hidemyass.com/proxy-list/ and search for the country that has the cheapest. Here are the proxies for India, which is the cheapest right now. In your browser, change to a proxy with HTTPS, good connection time and speed preferably. Thank you stinx2001

3) Once you have finished sign up, remove the proxy address and go back to your normal address.

      Im in the same boat aswell, but on my mobile device Im able to watch all of last seasons games just fine. I think you just have to wait till the start of the season.

    Also went the poverty pack ($89) and it went through fine but nothing has shown up in my web banking portal. I'm wondering if my bank has halted the transaction because of the perceived location (India)? Anyone else not see the payment show up?

        cc. Went to the bank today to see if they had blocked the transaction but they said nothing was showing up on their system at all.

        Advice was to wait a couple of days and see if it shows up otherwise to try again. Knowing my luck if I did it again I'd be billed twice…

    I'm waiting for NBA to look at the figures and see this huge spike of registrations in India, and then scheduling a game or two in India "for the fans", totally unaware that the spike was solely caused by the "professionals" from OzBargain!!

    Quick question, first time league pass buyer here….I'm gonna put my cc details and billing info into my league pass account first before I use a proxy to purchase, but will it matter that my billing address is an Australian address (and not the same as whatever country proxy I use)?? With that said, which proxies do you think are better/safer with cc payment?

    Signed up using proxy 14.139.241.20 port 3128 into india and the code NBALP152013 and got premium for $130.84 AUD.

    The other proxies kept timing out but this one worked a treat.

    I got on a couple of proxies from india and brazil and the prices were coming up fine, but then when I got to the final stage for confirming payment it showed USD$219 as the price…. I stopped because I obviously don't want pay that much! Anyone else have that? Any way around it?

    What's the go with the free trial period. Do I have to cancel it and then resign up to get the $99 (VPN pricing) or does it remember the region/price as the sign up wasn't clear what would be charged value wise when the trial period ends.

    Ok… so I took Gringoesai's advice and manned up and just did it- followed the instructions, used an Indian proxy and got the premium package for a stated $139. Good stuff.

    HOWEVER.. this free trial period has thrown me a bit. The confirmation email I received from nba.support says I've got a free trial period and if I don't opt out before the 5/11 I will be charged. Fair enough, but its stating i'll be charged $269.99! Any ideas what's going on anyone?

    Can anybody confirm they have used either then Indian or Brazilian proxy, and not had issues with blackout games? I plan on watching most the Heat/Rockets/Warriors games, and am prepared to pay the extra $100 or so to ensure I'm not affected by blackouts.

    Be careful sending your CC details through the proxies ppl listed on here, used the proxy 115.111.7.246:3128 from http://www.proxynova.com/proxy-server-list/country-in/ deywar posted about above, whislt it was a working proxy and the cheap league pass processed deywar probably set up a trap and was snooping it, CC details were stolen and within 20 mins someone had cash advanced two 800$ transactions in the sydney CBD and the CC had to be cancelled. So be wary, dudes setting up honey pots on here Mod: Foul Language lol Lucky i changed the account password for the league pass asap or would have be stolen too surely.
