This is a bit of a dupe, but Dick Smith have listed the final price of Grand Theft Auto V as $79.98. See…

The $10 preorder offer ends today, so (I assume) if you pre-order today at Dick Smith, the game will only cost $69.98. A saving of roughly $10 from the $79 price of Target/K-Mart.

    Just went into the Helensvale store. They still had the brochures out advertising the $10 off. I had to tell the guy the coupon code but it was all good.

        The fella in the store said there was something about a regular order code and the pre-order code. I assume the pre-order code on the receipt is the one that will give the discount.

      Same thing at Robina.
      They didn't know much about it .. Said there system says GTAV will be selling at $105 ..
      Showed them their catalogue (That was on the counter).. The then googled it and came back super confused.

      The way I see it .. Best Case it will be $67, Worst case $77 .. which is still better than anyone else.
      Plus they will refund it all if It comes in all messed up on the price ..Which means I can go buy it else where.

      Well its not a 100% confirmed, agent(Dicksmith Springvale) told me that they have no real confirmation from head office, has to wait for tomorrow morning for that, but according to him its going to work out as 79.98 - (10+10). $59.98 for this looks too good though.

          According to the brochure the agent had it says 10 when you preorder and another 10 feom dicksmith tomorrow(someone posted a link to a picture somewhere on top of the comments). And he affirmed its going to be on the advertised price. 79.98. We can only hope he is right, and depends on head office as well.

    Had to do separate transactions for each and they wouldn't allow me to use the staff card for 5% off the Pre order ($10) amount only can use it tomorrow (even though I thought it would work)

          GTAV is region free except for Japan copies. So doesn't realy matter for DLC. Although the cover art will have different classification ratings on it depending on the country of origin.

    Rang Highpoint Dicksmith earlier today, the person who answered the phone had no idea what was going on and insisted that the $10 off promotion had already ended even when I bought up that lasoo had it as extended. When asked to be put on to a manager, said there wasn't one working today, this was at 1:00pm…

    I don't know if it's just me, but I always have terrible service at that Dicksmith store!

    Ended up going to the Moonee Ponds Dicksmith got the $10 off no worries and they also guaranteed that the price will be $69.98 on pickup tomorrow.

        The 13% off for Friday 13th at EB between 1 and 2pm wasn't upvoted enough to hit the front page. A few of us were able to grab copies of Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite for $35 less 13% makes $30.45 then stroll in to JB and trade them in the 2 for 1 preorder deal.

    Confirmed … Paid $10 pre order yesterday, picked up this Morning mount omany, paid $59.98

    So to put it in plain English and avoid confusion the total was $69.98 paid as the final figure :)

    Just picked it up at a total of 69.98 inc my deposit. Was a bit of confusion but no drama. Was i supposed to get a seperate code for the atomic blimp however? I only just remembered when i got home :(

    The blimp dlc code is on your recept, well it should e, if not call up and make them generate one for you!

    If anyone missed out on this deal, I walked into big W and asked them to price match, they will sell it for $68!

        Hope you got it, I have noticed my code seems short and is invalid in the dashboard, is there a part of the game you redeem the code or do I suspect that they are that hopeless they generated a plantation code to go with my xbox sale of the game?!

    DSE Booragoon - picked it up after some confusion, but got the offer. Got home to find the Atomic Blimp code was missing, so I rang them up, but they didn't know how to get the code. I gave up trying to pursue it. But overall great to get the game!

      UPDATE: After reading about other people successfully getting codes, I went back and asked them to check all their emails and documentation carefully. Eventually they found the code, and wrote it on my receipt.

          I couldnt get a code at Rhodes,NSW. Ill complain till i get ont. Not that im that fussed but damn it im entitled to it. The guy at the counter said he didnt receive any even though there was a piece of paper in front oh him telling him how to give customers the DLC. And even after telling him about it he didnt bother.

    @EB Games I was given a little card with my game which had the code for the blimp on the back of it (Had to scratch it off). They literally had a big pile of them and just grabbed the game, grabbed the code and handed it to me. Had nothing to do with my receipt, so there isn't a code on my receipt. I'm guessing this is the same for most places.

      Have you been able to redeem the code for the blimp?
      I'm assuming you're supposed to do this at the Xbox games store in game but it keeps saying its not available… Then the one time I did get in the only option was to redeem a 25 digit code… I was given a 12 digit code… How about you??

        Well my code is for PS3, and its 12 digits long. I'm thinking that they must have given you the PS3 code instead of the XBOX one…..

          Looks like Dick Smith has done the same thing to a bunch of people. Useless they are!

          The guy at Dick Smith told me yesterday that they wouldn't price match target at $79 because that was under cost, then they go and drop the price down to the same price today for launch. Load of rubbish. On top of that, yesterday one of the employees said that they had zero stock left, yet after they had gotten the manager and told me they wouldn't price match, suddenly they had "loads of copies out the back" if I wanted to pay $87.
          What are they playing at??!

          I'm not one for supporting EB games after everything ive read on here, but i'm glad I went with them for this. They had the express lane set up with a 3 or so employees, with games and codes on the table. (As well as other employees at the main counter for the people that hadnt pre paid the total). Was literally in and out of the door within 2 minutes with my game and code (Granted it was a few hours after 'launch').

          PS: Just tested my code on PS3, worked perfectly.
