    • Thanks for the terms. My booking was for the South Place hotel in London which worked.

  • +2

I should also add that the rate I got through cheaptickets was $200 cheaper than through the Visa Hotelclub deal for my 8 night stay.

  • where do you enter the code???

  • Thanks just booked at the Ibis Sydney airport. With the currency conversion factored in I only saved around $5 per night (compared to directly through the Ibis website), but better than nothing.

ETA - remember there is 10% off at expedia as well for amex. I ended up worse off by $5 per night than I would have been booking via expedia - DOH!

OMG go and kill yourself!! life is not worth living

  • Are their prices in AUD or USD? I can't figure it out from the website.

    • USD

  • Anyone know when it expires? Keen to book but girlfriend is unsure yet.

    • Read the first reply.

      • Thanks! for anyone looking it's September 22, 2013 11:59PM CST.

  • Do banks generally charge a fee for paying in USD?

    • Yes, usually the fee is a percentage of the purchase value. If you are looking at buying things online in foreign currencies, or are looking to travel overseas its worth signing up for a free 28degrees mastercard which doesn't charge any of these fees/has no annual charge.

  • Awesome OP, saved roughly $200 for a vacation in fiji

  • you should go through the site from topcashback website that way not only do you get the 20% discount you also get the cash rebate i think its like 3-4%. For those who dont know just google topcashback.

    • I've never used these kind of websites before. Do I need to have a UK bank account to get such cash backs? And if I say use Paypal will i be breaching their T&Cs?
      Cheers.

  • as always, do your research - check out the links and comments in http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/115415#comment-1576067 :)

  • i don't have 28 degrees card or such to avoid overseas transaction fees….but even including this fees deal I am looking at is coming better. I called the hotel in question and they say they've never heard of CheapTickets….should i be concerned before buying? do anyone had problems with buying cheaptickets in Aus….any feedback/tips will be helpful….sorry never used such sites for accomodation….

  • Thanks for the deal!
I had to pay $126 in conversion fees :( and nowhere does it say that figure which is a bit dodgy, so I had to check my online banking to see how much I had been charged.
But in saying that, 7 nights at Fraser suites through cheaptickets.com was $126 cheaper than the hotelclub sunny13 sale even after factoring in what I had to pay in conversion fees.
