Seems good for the price but how long before it Rusts away :(

    • +2

Probably long enough that your kids will have outgrown it.

Galvanised frame… it will last awhile.

  • It's PVC isn't it?
    4 left in SA

    • Nah that's the seats

      • Ah yes…oops. Cheers.

  • Such a good price- is so sad Hills sets are soo expensive and hard to find.

without wanting to sound too much like a Negative Nancy - 6 months for a warranty doesn't sound good enough for something like this.

But $49 is a cracker of a price, as long as you don't expect it to be handed down to your kids' kids.

    • Seems fair enough. Unless they made it out of tinder wood and your kids are particularly overweight there really isn't much that can go wrong with it.

Meh for $49, I don't care if it only lasts 1 season.

      Educate yourself people. Warranty doesn't mean jack shit, you're covered under ACL Consumer Guarantees. And it's good to see Ray's have made sure their website has the correct info relating to ACL;

Can i use this for chinups?

    Will it support 70kg?

    • stop ruining it for people who have kids, im sure you could find something much cheaper for chinups :P

      • It's actually pretty good for the price, the crappy big W door frame ones are utter crap. My only gripe is the size of this thing.

This comment made me laugh…so obscure, stingy and yet so genius. OzBargain never ceases to amaze!

Lol actually that's exactly what I was considering it for.
I bought a very similar one to this last Christmas ($69 from kmart). It has lasted really well and I have been really happy with it. The kmart one comes with a double swing on one side instead of the baby swing. I have been looking for bars and trying to make some with dowel but it hasn't been working and I was actually wondering if another swing set would do this morning. The only issue I can see is that the bar is a bit big for gripping but would be ok for chin-ups.

    • Looks like you got this deal: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/116428

Hahaha, I didn't actually. I don't think i need an app to count the ~10 chin ups I do.

    • no but it makes a great bicep curl

How do you see which stores have stock? Clicking the link on the page takes me to the store locator.

Just got one from Burleigh store they had 7 left

    • What's the package size like. Would it fit in a large sedan boot?

      • chances are you could bend the tubes into a more convenient "travel size" anyway :)

      • Yes I think so. I fit an almost identical set from kmart into the back of my barina.

      • It fitted inside the back seat area of the sedan. Midland WA had a few in stock

        • Box is not that Big at all, will have no problems fitting it

  • It's a small package should fit in the boot

  • Just bought one from Mandurah store WA thanks op

  • Got one from Enfield SA….price is $45.00.

According to Store Lady, SA has stock as below (at 7 pm)

    City (ph. 82313633)- 4
    Modbury (ph. 82630611) - 3
    Elizabeth (ph. 82520166) - 2
    Marion (ph. 82964522) - 2

    • Wow that is a quick price drop:-) I purchased one at 5pm for 49 dollars …from the same shop….the price change in a few hours is weird….

      • It scan as 49 dollars but in store it advertise as 45 dollars

  • Bought one at Frankston VIC, I forgot to ask how many they had :( I haven't looked at it yet, but doesn't look like the greatest quality. Not that I'm complaining for $49. I've bought little plastic toys for more.

  • Picked one up from Burleigh Heads, QLD Branch this morning.

    Still 4 left

  • preston store still had quite a few last night when i got mine, 1/2 xmas gift done for one kid!

  • Just picked 1 up from Kotara. About 6 left.

  • I bought one from Fyshwick late Friday night. They had 2 left.

  • Got one on Thursday and put it together yesterday. Great customer service from the girls at Burleigh.

Box says 1 hour to assemble. Doesn't specify how many people needed. Parts were well labelled and even a box of spare parts and paint touch up included. Great value for the price. Toddler swing took the longest to put together. Solid arms. Other swings have plastic coated chain. Also included four ground anchors.

  • This is now $29.80
