A lot of notebook specials lately which is good. There's a few people who seem to be copy pasting from the whirlpool thread, maybe we could combine these all into one bargain or something regarding netbooks and notebooks?

    • +1

Pricewatch threads linked on whirlpool show existing bargain. The standout bargains in the list then makes it on here. Keeps the retailer's honest and means great value for the consumer in the current economic climate. I figure computing bargains go in the computing section?

      • That's a fair point that the best bargains come here. Hopefully we can summarise the best bargains on whirlpool into one bargain submission

        Netbook
        Entry Notebook
        Premium Notebook

etc. I'm just saying this as it may make it easier to navigate. Having said that, I very much appreciate you and the other posters bringing this bargain to our attention, so thanks :)

Well you're right about the GREED part at least NoustaDude…
Being p1$S3d 0ff beacause you didn't get to do 30 genuine retail customers out of a good deal! Get real.

I agree. Stupid voting this a -ve just cause you didn't get 30 mouses so you can make a profit. Like anyone feels sorry for you. It's like feeling sorry for scalpers.

        • +2

I don't think you do your business at Tumbi Umbi any favours by showing this attitude to a community of retail purchasers, IE. your potential customers.

    • the next time dell has something cheap are you going to walk away?

bees to honey man…. and you know it…

        • -2

Tempted to -ve vote because of the mouse fiasco. However, this deal, while it may be a dell product is not being sold by them.

    • +4

That's a terrible reason to give a negative vote.

-11 negative votes for your comment. Good for you

    • please stay that way

Compared to what the other netbooks of this size offer and the price, $499 is almost getting to a realistic price, to bad it has to be EOL before it happens DELL.

P.S you pi$$ed me off with the mice and the Vostros last year :)

It's been pointed out, but here it is again: The deal is not with Dell.

This is with The Good Guys.

It's the equivalent of getting your el cheapo mice from Officeworks when Dell screwed up the price, if that untwists your knickers.

  • pricematch this with officeworks to make it even cheaper! anyone done it?

    • You can't pricematch an "Unadvertised special" with ANYONE.

      • OW can do a pricematch. Just need a written quote, or some evidence of the price, or even word of mouth. OW ring the retailer to confirm the price, if they can be bothered.
