I tried the online chat with the customer service at Chinavasion - not too good Im afraid (but this is my subjective experience and others may have a different one). I had some questions about shipping, whether I could use skype on this or use it as a phone. Had a whole conversation with them about consumer confidence when they will not answer simple questions etc. Shall research this org'n more before I buy from here….

PS - finally got them to answer ONE question - no skype, viber, whatsapp compatibility. The chat-person wouldnt answer my questions about shipping - said I had to sign up, log in, go through the purchasing process to find out - then 'hung up' on me when I said asked him/her to please answer my questions - not sure about shipping costs until I do as Im told :)

    Buy a Lumia 520 - it has better specs than this and can actually run Skype, Viber and WhatsApp.

    Is this a bargain or more of a cautionary tale? :P

      Whatsapp needs a mobile number to work. Viber doesnt.neither does Skype. Should be no reason why Viber (having said that their supported list is pretty puny) & Skype shouldn't work on this tablet

      I figured for $60- its a nice kids toy or a starter for someone who doesnt want to spend much n their first smart-thingy. The cautionary bit was me following up on questions that I had that I thought others may also have….I had to put pressure on to get answer, and I did get *some. :)
      I dont usually buy things online unless I have researched them fairly well (which also means checking it out from experts on OB)… :)

    Don't even know the shipping fees.

    And FYI $59.99 is USD. It's actually 60.68 AUD.

    Awful junk, no deal!

    Chinavasion is actually pretty reputable for a chinese tablet/mobile seller.Chinese tablets arguably have better price/performance ratio than the big brand names (the mobiles especially THL are pretty good).
    Having said that what do you expect for $60 ???????.

        Looking at the prices even on ebay Buy it Now is at least over $200+, auctions happening seem to max out around $180+ (highly unlikely to win one for <$150 - yeah you never know.. but its unlikely)
