    I had this for a while and had to bin it because it would randomly chime. Quite annoying when its 3AM and going off. No way of changing the channel or anything like that either.

    because your battery was going flat probablu that's what mine does too when it's going flat. you can turn it off - pull the battery out. I have 2 they are great. great price
