  • on their website, it is 359 + 9.95 shipping ????

—EDIT: but when you add to cart, it says 349 which is correct, not sure about the free shipping though.

  • The $159 Zazz refub Dell GX520 was a better deal, supply your own LCD..

    But this isn't terrible either.

  • +1

It should be noted, this is almost certainly a refurbished model. The Veriton 3600GT came out over 5 years ago. It's an old, old model. The HDD is slow compared to modern ones, as is obviously the CPU. Only 6 month warranty.

I'm not saying it's not a bargain, but I am saying you could probably go curb collection hunting and get something similar.

    • curb collection hunting…nice.

  • For a basic machine it seems okay.

  • What "refurbished" means? Is it mean a second hand pc or an old model cannot be sold. Thanks

    • Considering how old these are, I would expect they are ex-lease.
If I were buying one, I'd consider getting a new hard drive for it.

  • I think refurbished means that the maching was sold and a part may have been damaged that was unrepairable at the time and the buyer was given a new machine to replace this one. Acer then fixed the machine and offers it as a refurbished model, i.e its been made new again (in working condition), but its not in new condition (might have marks on it).

  • Consider your folks who may want to become educated on all things computers. If it can run skype, do banking and so on, maybe they could benefit. It's not the greatest price I've seen but it seems decent.

  • You can pickup similar refurbished/ex-lease PCs from graysonline much cheaper. Plenty of ex-lease 17" lcds on there as well from HP/Dell.
