Similar deal L42V12A - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/115540
but this looks like a different model.

Think it's this model L42V11A -
http://www.soniq.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&…
Which means it has an LG IPS panel.

  • I grabbed the last deal. Impressed, though the speakers are wanting - an upper bass vibration - overcome using external sound or jack the treble up.

I run an Android stick into one of the HDMI inputs.

  • "10 bit panel offers over 1 billion colours" I love advertising. Completely ignoring the fact that humans can't see more than 7 million.

    • Off topic, but I'm interested in this. Do you have a link to info? My initial googling couldn't find anything other than that the human eye can see "10 million colour 'hues'". Isn't the visible colour spectrum infinite though?

  • I sent back the one from the previous deal as it would not tune digital stations. They said they could not replace it as they had no more stock available. Really???

    • This is a different model.
How do returns work with factory scoops?

      • I see. They picked it up from my door via courier.

  • Hmmm OK price if you missed the previous rounds I guess.

They had the L42D11A 3D TV and the L42V12A models for $249 last time around. I think they were met with enough demand that they decide to jack the price up a bit this time around even for the older 2011 model.

    • The L42V12A was $276 delivered (See my link in the description)
      This one is $50 more.
Any link for the 3D TV? Can't find any 42" Soniq 3D for that price.
I posted it because it is cheaper than most second hand 42" TV's on Gumtree and comes with a warranty and delivery.

      • It was in the same batch of offers as the one you posted and at the same $276 delivered price. There wasn't actually a bargain posted for that. It was sold out relatively quick - in about 4 days from when it was posted to factory scoop.

Last couple of weeks the 3D one was again on factory scoop for $399+Delivery but at that price can't exactly be called a bargain.

  • Thinking about buying 3 of these and mounting them vertically. Can anyone tell me if that would look ok? I'm assuming the LG IPS panel would ensure good viewing angles.

They'll be used to form a menu at a pizza shop.

  • I think all stock is now gone :(
