you mean a custom rom with a bare-bone/skeleton system ?, because there are no official S4 roms without the Samsung stuff installed.

That's a de-skinned/bare-bone/skeleton rom and you'll need to root the device. There are plenty of skeleton roms which get rid of bloatware and customizations…

Google edition would be the only "official" bare bone stock rom. All others are mods of original roms.
Anything that requires rooting isn't "official" and voids your warranty…
The Galaxy S4 Google Edition is only sold in the US, and changing your local S4 to a Google Edition rom would be the same as rooting & installing any other skeleton rom available on the market.
S4 Google Edition IS an official S4 rom, he wasn't asking if he could install a rom without rooting, he was asking if he could install stock Android without using a 'custom rom' and he can, using the S4 Google Edition rom.
Well nobody knows what he's asking yet…, you don't have to neg me for helping him understand that he'll void the warranty either way, as Google Edition is a custom rom and not "official" to any other device but the S4 Google Edition…

Nope, unfortunately "pure" Android will only ever remain with the Nexus series, unless you want to unlock and root your S4, then attain a skeleton rom or the "Google Play Edition" rom, probably the closest thing to a pure Android fully functioning release for the S4.
Samsung will never publish stock roms without their propriety software pre-installed, unless they officially sell a device like the "S4 Galaxy Play Edition", which comes standard with a bare-bone stock rom…
Contrary to what has been said above - Google Play Edition rom IS pure Android and if you root your device and install if you'll have essentially a Nexus experience with a few small differences, such as physical navigation keys rather than on screen.
Yeah just flash the GE ROM…. then you will also get updates direct from Google

Their previous deal worked out fine for me. They eventually emailed me a tax invoice for the phone. It was sealed and Aussie stock. I had one Vodaphone app and a couple of channel 7 apps on mine which I deleted easily. No complaints now but they could have sent earlier and DEFINITELY should have emailed a tax invoice with my payment confirmation.
