        For a crop sensor camera I would call it a perfect outdoor event lens.
        It is not a bad travel lens either but I use a wide end quite extensively, and 24mm is a bit limiting.
        This lens has a very good niche for taking pictures of when you go out.
        Again, it is an excellent price for a very good lens. L glass for less than $700 is a steal.

    Great lens, and great price! I have both this and a 24-70mm f2.8 and I find the 24-105mm a little sharper. The IS is fantastic for video too!

    I have this lens on my 5D MkIII when ever I'm out and about. It has excellent build quality and a great sharp, high dynamic range end result.
    I ordered mine as a kit with the 5D body and I've only really swapped it out for specialty purposes such as prime lens portraits and super-wide on my Tonkia 11-16mm.

    I should also mention I've got my camera and a few lenses from Camera Paradise and they've been great and delivery is very fast to the metro area.

    Use Simply10 in the coupon section to get $10 off. Doesn't seem to work with Safari but worked fine on Google chrome.
    Great deal, needed an L lens for my Canon from the previous JB deal, few more cheaper deals like this I'll really be considering selling off all my Sony alpha gear and switching over.

      For most people this lens with a full size sensor camera would be sufficient for 99% of tasks.
