  • Annoying, just booked something last night.

    • you can't cancel or is there a fee to do so?

If you've already booked a hotel but want to take advantage of this, you can try the following tip (found on reddit).

The best way to cancel your reservation with out getting charged, if you've waited after the cancellation time, is to call 1st and say you're changing your stay to a later date, then call back within a few hours, (hopefully getting a different clerk) and the cancellation fee will be bypassed because there's now a new cancellation time on the new date.

I've tried it a few times and has always worked for me!

    • the good ol' reset-the-date trick :)

Awesome, booked Cairns for december. Thanks OP!

    • Where did you enter the code?

  • where do you enter the discount code?

  • If you go via the link posted by op, it will have the code included by default.

    http://www.ratestogo.com/deals/promo-code-offer/?WT.mc_ev=em…

Otherwise you can just enter it while searching for hotels, just scroll all the way to to bottom of the page.

    Thanks OP!

Has anyone else every noticed that RatesToGo do not publish negative reviews? I made a fair and negative review of a hotel I booked with them a month ago (it had a 4 and a 5 star rating already and I gave it 2) and my review hasn't been published.

When you book with RatesToGo please make sure you use Trip Advisor or similar for hotel reviews if you haven't already :)

  • I am wondering why it is so difficult to find any available rooms in rural SA ?
And if you found one it is severely overpriced.
I've tried Robe, SA - no rooms available.
    I've tried Flinders Ranges - $288 - 20% = $230 a night for four people.
I booked a room in a 4 star hotel in Sydney CBD for a half of that price a few days ago.
During sales you can easily find a room in Melbourne CDB for $100.
Similar things for rural Victoria and NSW.
But rural SA never has any good deals on hotel rooms.

  • Thank you. Just got a great deal at Gold Coast during Xmas!!

Awesome - Bought some tickets to Japan earlier this year (from OzBargain no less!) and hadn't booked accommodation for the last two nights yet. In combination with another deal, I managed to get two nights for two in Osaka from $405 down to $179. Cheers!

    • hey i got the same deal as well. can you kindly let me know which osaka hotel did you get?
      Thanks very much
