    Strange i had a look im on Melbourne and couldn't find direct flights, and it doesn't make sense if $1822 is that per person or 2

  You can get it cheaper than that. I flew Scoot via Singapore to Phuket over Easter + 5 nights accom for $650 return.

    I had a friend fly scoot and the plane had problems and they were stuck for 2 days, wasted their first part of the holiday.
    So sometimes cheap is cheap for a reason.

      I've had about 6 friends fly with scoot and they never had a problem. Nor did I with the exception of an hour delay.

      You're going to get delays etc with any airline.

  when sales are on, you could do this for total cost TWO people… return flights 800 (250 each way from SYD is common sometimes 200) total, leaving $60 a night for 4 star accomodation in patong, very easy to achieve.

  As above, it would be with a budget airline most of the time so different to this as full service..
