  • Thanks OP. That's dinner sorted for the next 3 nights. Cheers

  • Where is NQR ? Any branches in Sydney ?

  • Awesome price!
Check out those Magnums in the brochure as well.
    Will probably sell out quickly.

    • Magnums will be sold starting next Monday. NQR print one brochure over two weeks so make sure you check the right dates on the page

  • Almost worth traveling all the way there to stock up.

  • +1

Great pizzas, thin crust from memory. Thanks for sharing the nutrition info, something I'd welcome on all food posts!

  • god i miss having NQR, live in Niddrie and they decided we need another doctor or something, so NQR is now gone tear

    • +3

You have Glenroy and Coburg NQR which are a short 4km drive from Niddrie. The northern suburbs well represented by NQR.

City/South-East has Ashburton (12kms) then Chelsea and Fountain Gate both 30kms or further from Melb.

  • I don't know how you would detect these had reached their use-by without the best before date.
You could easily keep them another couple of years without any problem.

Local NQR in Kilsyth currently has, (as of yesterday), Woolworths Select Chicken Tikka Masala + Rice microwave meals for 0.99 cents, (been removed from the box to debrand them).

Only got 10 of them - wish I had a bigger freezer.

    • I used to work near there, and it was the greatest for getting bargains like that. $0.50 Magnums, $11 for 9L of Jaffa ice cream, and so many other great things. That place must be stoners paradise. And yeah, chest freezer is a must.

  • Best supermarket pizzas IMO - I love the spinach one!

At this price, nobody probably cares, but be aware that these are not the Dr Oetker ristorante range. I have inadvertently bought the papa giuseppe pizzas before and they don't compare.

    • +3

For sure, they don't deserve to bare the Dr Oetker name

      • +2

Agreed. Papa giuseppi's arent worth the cardboard they're made out of… I dont think they used to be owned by Dr Oetker.

Ristorante on the otherhand are fantastic.
Mushroom or spinach are the best.

        • Best frozen pizza you can get bar none

        • I love how we all have standards on the frozen supermarket pizza. If only Officeworks pricematched :(

      • I bought the $3.50-odd Dr Oetker Ristorante Pepperoni Coles the other week and this $0.66 one. Both had 12 pieces of pepperoni, some sparse mozzarella and both made in Australia from local and imported ingredients.

I'd go out on a limb and say they are probably the same product with different packaging. Certainly for 5-times less cost this is a much better deal.

  • I've had these Panini before and they're quite salty. Made in Germany so they're 'real' Dr Oetker products rather than a relabeled Papa Giuseppi product.

  • Ashburton sold out on Mon/Tuesday but restocked today. There were at least 10 left at 6pm today.
