  • any reviews?

    • yeah, i would be interested if it is worth the money.

  • cheapest on ebay $54.90 delivered

Have something similar from Panasonic.. Not a flossing replacement as it really does not get down below the gum lines like floss does… But it's still great at removing things from between teeth. I tend to alternate between water and floss.

No, I don't hate flossing. I actually think it feels good and makes me feel more confident my teeth/gums are clean. Not saying this isn't a good price or a good piece of oral hygiene equipment just saying flossing ain't that bad.

That's the problem with flossing though: it's a fine line between confidence and arrogance.

I can spot flossers a mile off, walking heads tilted towards the sky, with a cocksure swagger that just screams "no decomposing food between these teeth, bro".

I go searching for those Colgate people with infra-red scanners in shopping centres just to show off.

  • How is it powered?

    • This appears to be the 3AA version. There is a "pro" version with NiMh batteries and a charger found elsewhere for more.

I went ahead and ordered one. Will use my trusty AA charger.

  • Hmm if it doesn't at least match floss its no good for me.

speaking of, anyone tried those mini flossing picks with a thin wire covered by tiny bristles? Available at woolies etc.
It takes a while and leaves your gums bleeding slightly after. But i find you almost get the sensation of "gaps" that a dentist tooth clean gives you.

    • hey Toshin, i've been using them for a while and they're great, especially since my teeth aren't the straightest & I struggle to get floss between them from the top … highly recommned & this device seems to be an electric version of them …

would advise steering clear of the colgate brand though, picksters are quite good …

      • The picksters are great? Or the the jet device?
if it matches floss i reckon you'd break even after a few months as floss is expensive!

    • The mini brushes work well if you get the right size, but I hate that 'metal on tooth' feel from the wire core. CareDent make an excellent alternative that's like a plastic toothpick with soft blue silicon bristles - does the same job but without any fear of scratched enamel or bleeding gums.

  • I'll try it - hope my teeth survive!

  • Is this a dodgy knock off of the iwell brand?

    • this probably is actually iwell.

bought iwell last year when it was $59. didn't really like it. It did work but i think the jet sream is not focus enough. a bit too large. also doesn't seem to be powerful enough =)
