Good price. Here's how it compares to the $269 7950 from that other deal today:

    http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/854?vs=855

Bit faster on some games, bit slower on others.

Tom's puts 760 and 7950 neck-and-neck, but if you need any of Nvidia's special features (slightly better stereoscopic support, CUDA), $30 is not a lot more to pay, I guess.

  • Galaxy do a decent vid card!
I got the 670 2GB for $380 about 12 months ago, it overclocks well, can't comment about the noise as i am slightly deaf, but its not terrible.
    No frills, but decent.

this is a good deal. It's what I was going to buy 2 months ago from PCCG, but the price went up $70 the next day! They do o/c well, but the increase in performance isn't as good as you'd expect from a large o/c. As mentioned here http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-760-review-g… a 16% o/c only gave an 8% boost in benchmarks. I found similar with a GTX680.

Change the 7950 to a boost edition (800-925MHz) here; http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/854?vs=856

and it pulls ahead. I now have 7950 crossfire and I find that an o/c translates to a bigger performance boost than the GTX680 did. An every day 30% o/c to 1050MHz (at less V than the stock boost voltage) gives around 20-30% performance increase. At 1150MHz, it's pulling level with a 7970 GHz edition.

If you can get a 7950 around $250 with the never settle bundle, then that would be a good option too.

  • Any good for BF4?

    • yep, just not maybe max settings…..unless you get 2!
