Acer Aspire V7-582P-54204G52tkk 15 Inch Ultrabook Touch $899 - $129 CashBack ($770)

70

This was sent to my email (tracking link removed)

I'm bit surprised that it's not on OzBargain website.

$899 for an i-5 ultrabook is a good price, not mention the $129 cashback via redemption

(last time I did cashback from Acer, I received an Eftpos Card in about 6-8 weeks)
Cashback register is here:
http://ec3.acer.com.au/AcerCashBack/ACA/Projects/CashBack/Lo…

So, it works out as $770 for this ACER ultrabook with 15.6 inch touch screen.
The only thing bad I can think of about this deal is that the screen is not full HD.

PS: it's also available at JBHiFi, follow the link below (Thank you, ryang)

  • Same lappy?

looks super damn thin in the pics, but at 2.2kg the ultrabook name gets really thrown around a lot. anyway for $770 can't go wrong i5 haswell..

Acer seems to be picking up it's game, this design reminds me of something vaio esque and not cheap crappy stuff. Resolution is liveable for me, but for uni use, wish it was slightly lighter. Although a MPBr 15 is about 200g lighter (not to mention double the price), but wonder how much weight difference there is - probably not much.

    • Slightly different.

The unit in your review has 8GB memory, and the model number is 74508G52tkk, not 54204G52tkk

Same price at JB, if you want to get all handsies first..

  • I still have the $120 acer voucher from the cash for clunkers deal. Do you think that I could use that as well?

    • Just tried it and discount seems to apply.

  • Acer lost a few hundred million this lost quarter. Be careful with Acer purchases, a lot of complaints compared to others.

  • Daniel from Acer Store just told me over the phone on 1300975035 that this model does NOT qualify for Cashback :-( so no deal, please correct/remove as appropriate, thanks.

Well I think that Daniel from Acer Store needs to go back and re-read the cashback form.. It's clearly listed, and it's also mentioned on the JB HiFi link.

Oh, thanks. I am interested but do not want to make a mistake and miss out on the cashback so to confirm I rang again this morning and they told me again that they did not think it qualified (they mustn't be keen to sell it?) but when pressed for the exact model number they told me the SKU: NX.MBQSA.006-C77-AS the first part of which matches the entry at http://ec3.acer.com.au/AcerCashBack/ACA/Projects/CashBack/Lo…

        NX.MBQSA.006 01 Oct 2013 - 31 Jan 2014 $129 Aspire V7-582P-54204G52tkk $129 Cashback (N1011)

        So that is $899 - $120 - $129 = $650 after recycle voucher and cashback

  • Talked JB down to $820 before cash back. Pretty happy with that!
