MSA Australian Beef Steak Scotch Fillet $13.99 a Kilo - Woolworths Online. Edit: VIC Only?

51

Reduced from $24.98/kg as labelled and was more according to the website. Currently $26.99/kg at Aldi.

Couple with the $10 off $50 & free delivery (if you can get it) & this is a very good deal.

I just had some of this delivered and they overcharged so I ended getting it even cheaper.

Thanks Woolies!

I have "unexpired" this deal as I have checked again the link from a computer, and an iPhone, in Melbourne and they continue to work for me all day. Others have had problems. I was logged in whenever I checked. (Last checked 22.13AEST)

Edit: Shows up as $13.74 or $24.98/1KG for SA

  • how does one get free delivery?

  • shows 24.95 for me .

  • It was automatic on the first 3 deliveries, and may still be, (my next one is my 4th, so its not coming up as free to me anymore).

  • I checked the woolworths website… can only see the porthouse for the friday special at 12.99/kg

How can you get this price $13.99??? It shows $28.44 per kg.

  • Ive edited it as "VIC Only?" & will pull it if appropriate. - Its still showing as $13.99/kg for me

Ive got a screenshot but dont know how to display it!

  • It's now 24.98 per kilo, but 13.74 per piece.. I guess whatever the deal was it's over? pricing error?

edit: I'm in Melb. No deal.

    • See below.

  • I just ordered another 9 :) to prove to myself it still worked. So maybe VIC only.

  • in VIC - doesn't work

  • Since I seem to be the only one getting this deal (!!) … (maybe because my computer is remembering an old link??) … I'll mark this expired. But I did order and got confirmation about 15 mins ago … as well as taking delivery of an order at this price this afternoon.

… we might be sick of steak in this house by the end of eating our way through this! :)

OP posted what appeared to be a legitimate bargain and cops your insult in return. Didn't your mother ever teach you manners?

  • I just checked my iPhone and the offer …. $13.99/Kg is coming up there now - at 5.45 AEST - after I logged in.

I'm in Victoria, didn't have an account with Woolies before, just created one to buy the steak and it is coming up at $13.99kg, Thank you!!

    • Check your delivery when you get it, I did and it turned out that they had charged me $17.50 a kilo (for 6 steaks) - or $7 too much.

I phoned them and at first the guy offered to credit me one steak, around $6 he said, and I said the credit would be $1 short, so then he offered to credit me 2 steaks (about $12)! I said I didn't want to be greedy - I would have been happy with the $7 - but thank you very much! I ended up paying around $11.50 a kilo!

      • Just got the delivery, no steak :o(, paperwork says they are refunding the amount.
Pretty annoyed as this was the only reason I placed the order and got a few other things to get the 15 cent off petrol voucher.

        • @meshe1969, sorry to see your post just now. For a few days following this 'offer' they were out of stock of the scotch on the system - at any price. Indeed I was concerned that I might not get mine but I noticed that they were back in stock on Tuesday, albeit at a much higher price.

I just received my delivery (as it was ordered for today). I ordered 9 packs.

Received the 9 packs. There are 19 steaks, total weight 4.85kg, total price $52.29 (=9 x $5.81) plus $3 delivery ($13 -$10 promo discount). The labelled price was $121.20 or $24.99 kg.

Before delivery the cost = $10.78 kg & after $11.40 kg.

Not bad considering they advertised it at $13.99 kg. (it should always come out at less because they sell online (unlike in the shops) at a fixed price whereas each steak of course is a different weight).

          Sorry everyone else had problems.

  • Might be a store special?

  • Not sure if the MSA grading really means much. Have had some really bad cuts of meat from woolies with its MSA grading stickered meat. It is woolies sold meat I guess, can't expect too much.

My 20 year old has been eating a steak a day for some weeks & it passes muster. :)

I am sure you are right about the "MSA" moniker, no doubt as credible as a Heart Foundation tick on a McDonalds burger :)

      • Having said that, I noticed yesterday that Aldi also use MSA in their promotions.
