Bought 36 cans of Heinz tomato soup for less than 80 cents delivered from Woolies with the recent Ent.Book offer, delivery man didn't complain, a great employee.

You guys need to understand that probably food and beverage eg. Campbell Soups are still manufacturing here in Aus keeping jobs. Cheaper than buying tomatoes yourself and making your own

How is that different to buying Australian tomatoes and making our own. This is an invalid argument.

People don't care about Aussie jobs on this site - they might when its theirs that is being off-shored.

I look for a bargain but I always buy Australian food even if it's a bit more expensive as the long term costs of jobs going overseas is far more costlier to society.

Buying cans for 20c a can isn't supporting anyone. As ozbargaineers, we don't really decide the future, we just pick the carcass of someone elses failed idea. And these probably are made in New Zealand, fast becoming known as a port for rebranding chinese made goods.

The people paying the loss on these soups would not be the workers as they've already produced them.
Also, they're made in Shepparton, Victoria.

They've been trying to flog off these cans with the Andy Warhol labels for many months now at my local WW. Price usually hovered between $0.50 and $1. I've never seen it this low.

  • Lol yeh man, it's ridiculously cheap no matter where it's fr! I just wish I could have stocked a load up, unfortunately I was heading out to city <_<

That’s about $20 for a bathtub’s worth of tomato soup.

Just saying. 20$ Tomato soup bath.

Not only is it good for cold days, You can also just have it around and if you don't like it, Donate it to food drives/shelter/soup kitchens. At this price for a can who says you can't do a good deed for someone else?

Creamed corn, creamed corn, cream corn…dam it can someone donate something other than creamed corn or Kenny's family is going to have a pretty corny Christmas.
