        • Yes. Ordered 2 x $550 and will be receiving 4 x $250 and 2 x $50.

Did all of you guys ordered through Ebay?

If through DSE website, has your order status changed to "Complete"?

        • yes,order changed to "complete"

  • Just got my shipping notification. Hopefully arrives in Adelaide by Friday.

    • Likewise.

      • me also

        • Can i ask what is the deal by getting these by Friday? Is there gonna be extra discounts?

        • PlayStation 4 releases on Friday, some people wanted to use the cards for pre orders, games etc.

Edit: still Awaiting Fulfillment here, their website is crashing frequently also. Very poor form all around

        • Ahhh get it! Thanks

  • +1

My cards arrived today, bought 9x$110 but they came in a weird combination of $30's and $50's with 27 cards in total.

    • Can I ask did it arrive via post or courier?

      • Was a courier, signature required.

        • Thanks jon

  • I just got an email saying "Thank you for shopping with dicksmith.com.au.

Due to the overwhelming response to our recent Gift Card promotion, we have experienced a slight delay in shipping your order.

We would like to advise that all orders will shipped by Thursday 28 November 2013.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience in this matter.

    Kind Regards,"

The tracking info I got this morning says that the cards have arrived at Sydney Startrack location for processing :~

  • Just another Friday morning purchaser hoping to have it 7 days later for the 29th PS4 Launch. No parcel as yet to metro melbourne. No shipping notification like some. I purchased from the online store.
No communication since my invoice was sent Friday 11.57am, the email stated:

    Here is your order update:

    Your order has been picked
Your order will be dispatched today
In most cases you will receive your delivery within four business days

See you next time online or in-store!

Not impressed. Would have much rathered them sell out stock, and not continue to sell when they couldn't fulfil orders in a timely fashion. Especially as the DSE rep on here said page 1: Gift cards purchased friday would likely be despatched Monday, so I jumped in. Thursday and still no desptach for me.

    • +1

The rep last logged in yesterday, but hasn't made a comment in 6 days. So many reps only comment when a deal is new and then head for the hills. Disappointing but not unsurprising.

    • +1

Just spoken with DSE and was advised that the gift cards were picked up by the courier on Wednesday. They said the "long awaited" shipping notification will be sent out today. But the problem is, this is exactly what they told me yesterday, and I have yet to receive any notification yesterday. You have done it again, Dick.

      • My tracking info says onboard with driver for delivery(07:57), so I suppose I'm one of the lucky ones.
UPDATE: gift cards just delivered(12:30), can't complain :)

    • Mine just arrived. Sort yourselves out Dicks! Communication!

  • Looks like the deal's back now, except with $550 and $220 cards instead of $110. The $220 cards also don't come with free shipping.

    • +1

The $220 cards also don't come with free shipping.

They definitely should, there's a banner saying Free Delivery over $99. The DSE website always seems to have issues with applying free shipping when it should.

      • Ah you're right. The shipping estimate doesn't reflect this. You have to go to checkout to see free shipping.

  • How do I cancel my order still have not receieved my giftcard for PS4 purchased?

I brought last week as well… being screwed my Dick and hope they don't give my 30Aug preorder to comp winners.

    • I rang my local DSE and told them that I am still waiting for the arrival of my gift card. They advised that they will put it aside till I am ready to collect it. Also, the stock that they expect to receive today are only for people who has preordered before September.

  • +2

My gift cards bought last week are on board with driver for delivery today. Just in time for family and friends sale.

    • same, here, delivered a few minutes ago! I wish they had the 3.4Ghz 27' Imac on special. $400 off the 3.2ghz model is a huge bargain and using the gift cards makes it even better!

  • Bought a few more Wish gift cards with 5% discount and used them to buy the $220 Dick Smith gift cards.

  • im in Adelaide and just got mine delivered

    • website or dse ebay?

    • Has anyone in QLD received their gift card?

      • A glimmer of hope, everyone! Despite not receiving a shipping notification and DSE account still showing "Awaiting Fulfillment", I received my gift cards 15 mins ago. Also, 2 x $550 were issued instead of 4 x $250 and 2 x $50.

Good luck to the rest of you Ozbargainers.

      • Got my first order yesterday. Awaiting my second.

  • +1

    Received mine in Sydney.

  • Received my cards in Sydney. I ordered 1 x $110 and 1 x $550 from DickSmith online which came this morning. I ordered a $550 on eBay but that for some reason has not shipped yet. I bought another $110 a few hours after the other eBay one and that arrived as well.

Got 2 cards out of 2, ordered on Friday from DSonline. Got 1 card out of 2, ordered on Saturday from eBay.

EDIT: Forgot to say that I went to the Parramatta store to preorder one of the PS4 bundles but they said they were all sold out yesterday. No more shipments of the bundles and only the console itself is available at February. Instead I price matched the iPad Air 32GB for $668 from BigW. No PS4 for me until next year :(

    • Im kinda int he same situtaion. bought 1x 110 and 1x 550 thru dick smith ebay. Got notification that $110 has been picked but nothing on the $550. And till now i'm waiting for both of them! :(

  • Still playing the waiting game…….

    • If I order today, how long will they take to arrive? Has anyone had success price matching with big w for the iPad Air 64gb or 128gb cellular models?

  • Anyone try to refund something they purchased and used the gift card to pay for it instead?
eg. paid on CC, ask for a refund, pay on GC

  • 1 week later no sign of my cards, no movement on my order "status", and to add insult to injury dick smith opens the offer again allowing more people to buy cards while failing to ship the cards ordered during the first run.

    Whats up with that Dick?

    • Desperate to increase sale figure for the upcoming float…hardly see anyone in DSE stores. WOW is trying to offload shares to the public.

    • Just got mine yesterday, took it to the store to pay for a MBP… and the sales person told me the cards have zero balance.

Called Dicksmith online sales, who then told me its not their problem and asked me to call the number on the back of the card (Vii) to get it fixed. I called Vii, and they pointed me back to Dicksmith online sales. Called DS back, who again told me to call Vii. But after getting angry at the operator, she relented to 'investigate' for me and asked me to wait until Monday.

      • That is horrible service. Were the cards endorsed with their dollar value and date of issue on the back? Hope this gets resolved quickly and painlessly for you. Keep us informed.

      • Have you tried checking it on the gift card website? What does it say there?

      • @ pringles200g: I was alarmed by your comment(tomorrow I'm buying a 27' iMac) and checked the cards' balance here https://www.dicksmithgiftcard.com.au, mine are ok.
Sorry to hear about your adventure, hope it will be resolved on Monday

      • I had this last year when they did this offer.

DSE said that they needed 1 day to activate as I got to the store to be turned around.

        2nd time this worked

  • I'm still waiting to get the gift card I bought on the 22nd of November. According to my store that's holding my PS4 all orders should be on their way, I haven't even got an email to say its in transit yet.

  • Hi everyone, i'm looking at selling my 1x $110 and 1x $550 gift card for the price i got it for $600. I decided not to get an ipad anymore. I am yet to collect the cards from the post office, so if anyone is interested, please PM me. I'm in Melbourne.

    Thanks

STILL waiting…??? WTF? Nearly two weeks.

      • +4

I'm close to contacting the government department responsible for business complaints.

        This is going beyond incompetence.

      • have you received yours yet? I am still waiting after more than 2 weeks.

    • EDIT: I didn't get my $550 in the mail. So i called them up and cancelled it with no problems at all - i hadn't paid for it yet, it suppose to be pay after you receive via paypal. Also i "contacted seller" on ebay to cancel it.

In regards to the $110 i did receive, i basically told them i waited for too long and i can't buy the item without the $550. They said bring it to DS store and they will give me a refund for the $110, i even spoke to the person in charge - i'm yet to go there.

      • I use ebay for more than 10 years and i have never seen an item that you can pay with Paypal after you receive it!Normally it dispatches after they have confirmed the Payment. Is this a new service?

        • i think it is new.. i've been using this service for a while now.

it's a choice you make towards checking out…

  • +1

Ordered a $550 on the 23rd and still waiting for shipping notice. Paid cash for my PS4 so have no idea what to do with the gift card when it finally arrives!

    • Just wondering if we can cancel the order or dispute this via PayPal?

they promised delivery on/before 29 Nov for order on the 22 Nov - so it is obvious that they are selling something that they do not have in stock

      • +2

Dispute via Paypal, if enough disputes are opened against Dick Smiths they will be temporarily or possibly even permanently banned from using Paypal.

After the crap they have been pulling for the past couple of weeks it would be rightfully deserved. Their customer service is just telling straight face lies now, when they can be bothered to answer the calls.

        • good idea - I just lodge a dispute,

  • +1

Placed 2 orders (one of them for a $550 card and the other for 2 $550 cards). Received just 1 $550 card this arvo. The tracking number provided was the same for both orders. Contacted their online sales number and it went to an overseas call centre and I was told they will get back to me tomorrow. Very frustrating :(

  • +1

So received no call back as expected. Rang again today only to be told that they will get back to me Mon or Tues. What the heck is going on?

    • +1

      I haven't received mine either, I ordered on 22/11/2013

called last week got the run around

called again today got the run around again

      • +1

Is there many of us with this same problem?

I called them three times, always went to their Manila's call centre, and always told the same thing:
"the items are ready to be dispatched, and will be dispatched today" but so far after more than 2 weeks waiting…. nada!

If there are many, and we all lodge dispute via PayPal it will surely attract their attention.

        • +1

No replies to their emails either. Horrendous customer service. Will give their head office a ring on Monday. Heard enough BS from their overseas call centre staff. Btw here's the number.

          Dick Smith Electronics
Head Office 2 Davidson, Chullora, NSW
          (02) 9642 9100

If that does not get any where (most likely outcome) I guess opening a Paypal dispute is the only other option. Ridiculous stuff.

        • +1

Thanks for posting the Head Office contact information.

At this point a simple refund will not suffice, if the deal falls through an official complaint will be made to the ACCC. I would also urge everyone that can to obtain your refund by opening a dispute with paypal.

You can not charge someone instantly then repeatedly lie to them over the dispatch of their goods.

          http://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/complaints-problems/make-a-…

        • Cheers for that. Let's just hope that they sort these issues out before it gets that far.

      • +1

I have disputed this on PayPal - if all of us do the same, and PayPal received many complaints - the weight will be on Dicksmith to get their act together

  • +1

Also here's another way to get through to them. Will need to make an a/c and open up a ticket with all the order details and what not.

Apologies for the issues some of you have had with the delivery of these items. If you have an outstanding issue please contact us on 1300 366 644 or via https://www.dicksmith.com.au/contacts

For a quick resolution, please ensure you include your order reference number in your email, or have it ready when you give us a call.

    • +1

What do you think we have been doing for the past couple of weeks!

You customer service either leaves people on hold indefinitely or says "your order will arrive soon".

Look at your god damn outstanding orders, they are all IN YOUR SYSTEM. Asking people to chase you around is pathetic when you know exactly who has outstanding orders.

      • Plenty of people on their FB also yet to receive their Gift Card orders.

        https://www.facebook.com/dicksmithaustralia

And now they are back to selling more of them rather than fix up the mess they have created first. Woeful stuff.

  • Yet to receive any kind of proper reply to any of my calls or emails. It's always we'll call you back and then nothing after that. Bunch of BS! This is extremely frustrating. It's a $1000 order not some $20 one. Had enough so opened up a PayPal dispute. I would much rather have my money back now. Won't be dealing with DSE online again. Terrible customer service!

  • i asked for a refund today. after calling them time and time again and waiting on the line for hrs. if refund does not come in the next couple of days i will be definitely filing a paypal dispute this is ridiculous. how can GIFT CARDS BE SO HARD TO SEND OUT HONESTLY. as above this isnt simply a "$20 order" its a $500 order which cost so much more"

  • +1

    Hi all,

    Just wanted to share…

After 2.5 weeks of waiting and missing all the great sale opportunities because I wanted to wait and use the gift card and three waste-of-time-calls to their call center, I lodged a support ticket via http://dse.freshdesk.com/support/login (thanks to dins for the info).

I received a reply shortly after stating that the gift cards was delayed, they apologized, but the cards are on their way finally.

After waiting another 3 days, I got another email from them asking more info about my order, and after I supply it they replied stating that my order is now cancelled due to low stock and my money will be refunded. I received my money back within 3 days.

So in summary, this is the worse online ordering experience and I will do my best not to have anything to do with Dicksmith ever again.

This is now a company run by short term investors trying to cook the book and offload the company for a profit. No vision, no long term commitments, and definitely no core value whatsoever.

Whatever price they are asking for their shares is way overpriced.
