I know Accor Platinum status has been as difficult as getting a glass of water and Most of the active Ozbarainers should have this from the deal last month.

If you are already a Le club member but with lower status, I would recommend you use different email address or partner's name even. They audit duplicate accounts and get rid of the platinum status.

You can use this with the current last as well (my previous post)

    I'm getting "Invalid identification. Please try again and make sure the information you enter is correct. E-mail addresses with @accor.com and related domains are not accepted." - Have tried my personal email address and a gmail and getting it on both. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

  • Last time this sort of deal came around, and I'd lost status, I signed up again with a new email address, then asked them to merge my accounts - result; the account with points in it got merged into the platinum account so I kept the points and the status.

    However, last time the sign up was problematic - I used a hyphen suffix (e.g. [email protected]) to create a new email addy, and their system accepted it for sign up, but can't send emails to it (so can't send password reminders :(

    I signed up as soon as the deal came up, everything worked fine. However tried to sign up a family member soon after and got invalid email. Looks like submissions may have closed

      Just tried it and it worked for me. I have also received my confirmation email.

  • I was successful in signing up around 15 minutes ago with a non-Accor email account. Here's to hoping they don't cancel the membership on us…

    EDIT: Looks like the membership tier is only valid for a year, fellas: my account says "Validity of your status: 30/11/2014"

  • I must have done something wrong..the link took me to the normal (classic) membership… filled it out and am now a proud "Classic" level member… did I miss a link somewhere?

    I looked into staying at an Accor last week & their special rate for members was $10 MORE than their special rate for non-members!!

    Got upgraded to a 2-level junior suite last week at La Griffe Roma MGallery thanks to my Le Club platinum status (paid for classic room on special). They even threw in a bottle of bubbly.

  • has anyone booked under this 40% off special, I went to book? Do you have to go right to the end 'confirmation' to get the 40% and statement that you get a free breakfast?

    • I have booked, and it shows up the 40% off price immediately when you put in the date and choose the hotel. If you aren't seeing the 40% discount, those dates probably aren't available or are sold out.

      In that case you should see some kind of random error message along the lines of "Results could not be obtained for the specified date, but we can offer you the below". I can't remember what it actually says but it's something like that.

      Change the dates and keep trying and if there's any discounted rooms left at that hotel, they will show up.

    With booking, do you have to book through Accor website in order to flash out your membership number for the benefits like breakfast wifi, late checkin and late checkout?

    Or could you book through Expedia, then call the hotel or present yourself at the hotel with your platinum status?

    • there should be somewhere to place your accor number there, or you could just go to the hotel and tell them your number when you check in
