Nothing too special. Murray's advanced tickets is 23 bucks. Not sure if the 15 dollar ones are still going or not. It really depends on the exact availability and times. And I assume these are for the express?

    • You need to book those well in advance and it's been a long time I've seen a price below 25…these prices are available as long as they have a special fare which won't increase in price

  • Doesn't greyhound have wifi on coaches now? Plus over Murrays, and their loyalty program seems 100% better. Will book with greyhound next time and check it out

But then you'd be stuck in Canberra!

    • Came to see if this had been posted, was not disappoint

    • +3

      It's not that bad :(

      sheds tear

  • Probably completely different comparison but I travelled from Paris to Amsterdam to London by coach for a mere 13 pounds in September. Bloody incredible, and I had WiFi the whole way!

    • +2

yeah because you want to go to paris to use wifi instead of taking in the scenery
      =P I'm joking I'm just jealous!

      • I took the TGV from Switzerland to Paris (can't remember how much that was, about 40 euros, maybe?) spent 4 days or so there, then the took Megabus (heh, everyone may complain but their dirt cheap, comfortable and have free wifi..) to Amsterdam followed by London few days later!

        • You could get megabus for £1, and £5 if you weren't lucky.

    • Exactly. in the US I paid $455 for a 2 months pass. Visited all cities of US, canada and few cities in Mexico. unlimited travel. but grayhound here is very expensive.

I remember going from New York to Washington for a mere $1 on Megabus, had wifi and the seat next to me was empty, also saved on a hotel because it was an overnight bus.

$21 to send the missus on a 1 way trip to Canberra eh? scratches chin

  • +1

Yeah, no. Last time I got a bus to Canberra some guy behind me passed out with a needle in his arm.

    • +1

Yeah I'm an ex-Canberran. Is the only place I was continually offered heroin. Everywhere. While wearing a business suit.

      • I have no idea what the story is with Canberra and heroin, its the only place in Australia I've seen a syringe vending machine (outside the Woden library).

I usually catch the train on this route for about $28 as a student each way. Save another $4 each way if you hop on at Campbelltown.

    • Jesus, Campbelltown to Canberra. Could there be a more depressing sounding bus trip?

  • I paid less last time I caught this bus but I think I had a student discount.

  • This seems to apply to their Platinum service too, which is a great deal. The Platinum service has comfortable seats, isn't overbooked (unlike Murrays), has decent free wi-fi and in-seat power (240V and USB). Makes for a much nicer journey.

Who would wanna go to Canberra anyway?

    • -5

Because your a piece of trash

      • -1

Is that a reference to Canberra? That statement's pretty valid.
