  • Will it arrive in time for Chrissy?

      • Product will be shipped to you in approx. 3 weeks
      • Due to seasonal volumes delivery by Dec 25 2013 cannot be guaranteed
      • Interestingly the second point you quote wasnt there last night when i loaded the page last

    • Deal page says appr 3 weeks, but my exp with groupon has geneally been those are a huge ovverestimation (2-3 weeks normally means one week) so you dont complain, so I would guess that it probably would, JUST, but they seem to be warning it may not arrive til NYE just in case.

tl;dr maybe, dunno, but reckon so

      • I bought mine night before last (in the wee small hours, so effectively yesterday morning opening) and it currently says est delivery 21 days

  • only 720p video and reviews say less than expected image quality

    • Yeah, but it's $89.

  • I had one got it for $59 on a harvey norman clearance sold it to someone in the philippines for $100 lol was not happy with picture quality. You can pick up cheap spare batteries on ebay for it.

    • Yeah I bought it as a convenient pocket cam, I have a huge megazoom that i find just doesnt get taken out near as much as my fiancée's little pocket cam which costs 6x less, i wanted something fun to use and easy to pocket, to record life, rather than make art. And the photo qual was still rated above average, at its original $300 price point.
The sheer amount of stuff for it cheap on ebay is awesome too, even waterproof cases, and cheap packs with 2 batteries and a car/home charger - make life so easy with it on holidays.

  • +1

Got one in a previous sale for a travel camera. Full manual settings not as useful as I thought it would be as the aperture is a bit to limited to do much.
the wi-fi stuff is a bit of a gimmick. I set it up and tried it but haven't used it again.
The camera was a good option on recent trips where I didn't want to carry around my big SLR but wanted more than an iphone. Or where I don't like to take an expensive SLR/iphone, e.g. kayaking, beach, river.
    Zoom is good.
Picture quality is ok for the price.
I'm happy with the purchase, but in the end it doesn't really add anything more than similar compacts with a good zoom. This is a good price.

    • can I ask yo why you didnt continue using the Android remote? do you carry a decent size droid phone? The appeal of being able to selfie with the camera on a min-pod rather than having to ask some1 to take a pic seems AWESOME if you have a big enuf screen etc -it the app too hard or?
The autosync ability seems priceless to me too, plug it in to charge when i get home and the pix are straight on my oc, no effin round. (but then I am disabled and find plugging and transferring a pain)
Are you just not a super techie type anyway?

what put you off? i am fascinated (and kinda worried lol)

      • I have an iphone, so the selfie stuff works with my Nexus7, but I don't carry that around. The 60 second countdown does 90% of the job.
The auto picture upload requires software on the PC that was a bit flaky. I agree it is a good idea, and I have an Eye Fi card in my SLR, but the Samsung version was clunky and hard to use. I'd like to just set it so all my pics automatically get uploaded to Flickr, but that isn't an option.

Don't let me put you off, it works, but it is more fiddly to use than I would like. Perhaps there is a new firmware to improve these things.

Have a look at the manuals here to see how some of the wi-fi stuff is set up.

        • iPhone thing would kind of utterly cripple the usefulness of this phone's wifi feature, completely, for sure. It is very much designed to Android, cos they dont want to support their biggest competitor.
I wouldnt have bought this if I was an apple user, but fortunately I despise apple.
Hope the sync has improved, it is a maturing product line now.

  • Confusing title, is this the WB150F with wireless function or is it the standard WB150 without wireless? The selling site lists both numbers but specs do not state "wireless" function. Can anyone clarify ?

    • Well it lists WB150F and it lists remote viewfinder (which is only possible with the WB150F), the pic shows WB150F on top and you can just see the edge of the wifi logo behind the lens, and the voucher in my account lists WB150F so if it isnt they are in a pile of poo
