  • +1

    can satisfy your cmmon needs.

must have a very ..robust.. vibrate mode

    • aha,correct it already,thanks

  • link is broken.. please fix

    • Works fine for me and did earlier.

  • any deal on the Z5S LTE?

  • -2

My needs require me to have 2 gig ram and at least 32gb memory….

In saying that, this phone is only $70 so good buy I guess.

  • Note: not for voda and Telstra 3g

  • Have to admit don't know much about ZTE phones, really interested in a basic Android phone and at this price I'm pretty keen. Can anyone share any thoughts on this phone or the ZTE brand (e.g. reliability and build quality - will it last or will I need to get a new phone after 3 months?). I've been on Google and can't find anything totally reliable other then they source Telstra phones.

ZTE phones are mostly low cost phones. ZTE build quality is generally sub-par. What ZTE generally does to cut cost:

      • Below average screen. While most phones now use IPS, AMOLED or other technologies with good viewing angles, ZTE continues to use TN LCD screens. It is not just the viewing angle, the colours don't look good at all (wash out colours).
      • Cheap / poor quality camera. While you cannot expect much from a smartphone camera, ZTE phone camera quality is terrible. The bad screen does not help.
      • Ice Cream Sandwich. No Jellybean OS. Also, the ZTE customisation has a way to make a phone with decent CPU feel sluggish / laggy.
      • Cheap / thin plastic back cover.

If you are after a backup phone or a test phone, then you could consider. As a primary phone, look elsewhere.

Generally advice: avoid ZTE. Huawei y300 from officewoks for $78 is a better buy as pointed out by other people.

      • I had a ZTE rebaded Telstra phone from work a few years ago, it was so bulky my dad thought it was a walkie-talkie (LOL). The built quality wasn't too bad and it got knocked around so much I was surprised it lasted 3 years. I had to replaced it because it was dropped on the concrete floor and crack the LCD but it could still receive calls. Then I got issued with a Nokia C3, boy what a change it is sleeker and more function BUT it only lasted for a year before I have to get a replacement. The reception and quality is worse than the ZTE.

  • double check whether this phone comes with Google Play…

  • ruraro offers a good template on how to present phone specs. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/127006

Is there truth to ZTE phones output sound quality a cut above the rest?

  • Seems like a good deal.

Would this work on the Optus/amaysim networks?

Also, anyone bought from this place before? Thoughts?

Edit: Looks like it would work, cool.

So yeah, just wondering how reputable Chinabuye are. The reviews I've found aren't painting a pretty picture, honestly.

  • Unless you need dual sim, get a Huawei y300 from officewoks for $78 instead.
