      I don't know… I thought the whole design looks too try-hard.

      • Looks like something Teal'c would worship in Stargate…

    nice first post. great work.

    • Found my old account. I'll be deleting the truongsters one.

  • perhaps pickup @ store may make the Christmas gifts?

    Says online only

    • Thanks I'll edit it out

  • Noice.. Thanks OP ordered one…

PCCaseGear has it for $25 at the moment:

    • Expensive shipping. Charging 17$ to Syd

      Mwave shipping around $9

      • Strange, my shipping which is to the Gold Coast, is $13 Star Track Express. That's $38. $1 cheaper than Mwave.

    • This ended up cheaper and I got it with overnight courier. I'm in Townsville.

    • Out of stock from PCCG. ETA for stock is 23/12/2013 but you never know if that stock may get delayed. I've seen ETA's come and go pushed back on PCCG before. Might not see stock until after christmas.

      • PCCG is very unreliable.

        • This mouse has completely disappeared from the PCCG site any how. I guess they couldn't source any more in from the supplier. Only choice is from Mwave.

I would buy this for the dock alone! Awesome post!

  • Can pickup from their warehouse I guess. Saw pickup option at least.

  • Sydney = Mwave pick up would save you.
Melbourne = PCCG pick up would save you
Shipping (Elsewhere) = depends on shipping courier and where you live.

  • Avoid.

Good price but not a good mouse. Build quality of the MMO mice from steel series have been plagued with problems. I'm surprised they are still making them.

Can't be any worse than my Razer Mamba which I RA'd no less than 3 times. I didn't bother taking it back the 4th time. Great buy for a $150 mouse.

      • +1

Razer also have low build quality in general. But THIS mouse in particular is really bad.

I would happily recommend almost any other steelseries mouse…

        • I bought one to replace my 4-5 year old GM-M5000. Do you think I made a mistake?

        • At $30 I guess you can't be asking for much. So if it works reliably in the end you've got a winner.

    • Cant be that bad can it?
Im replacing my old MS mouse… this one to be exact

Actually, I still have one of those (not that I'm using it). :)

haha we have a box of assorted cables at work and i occasionally pull out one of those bad boys on random computers i'm setting up as servers or something :) They last forever but feel terrible to use after using decent gaming mouses. I use a steelseries sensai for work as a programmer and razer deathadder at home for gaming. This MMO mouse will feel like a dream compared to the Microsoft intellimouse(?) :) Its the smoothness of the movement which will mostly amaze you. Make sure you get a decent mouse pad.

  • awesome specs! and awesome price, Thanks for post!

  • Would this be overkill for an office environment? Very resonable price for a wireless mouse.

Pass on this one. Just bought a Logitech G700s wireless gaming mouse from Dick Smith for $74.99 recently and beats the crap out of this one. Be alright if you're on a very tight budget i suppose but don't expect much out of this Steelseries mouse.

    • umm Steelseries are good mice. This is a $120US mouse for $30+shAUD, its by no means worse than your $75AUD mouse.

Because you offered no explanation for your troll comment i might, I've previously owned Logitech g500, and couple older razer mice. Currenly own Steelseries Sensai, Razer Deathadder. Both of those are fantastic mice. I think steelseries make decent stuff, similar to razer or roccat.

Personally I'm not a fan of logitech mice because IMO they don't feel as comfortable for gaming as other core gaming company mice.

The Logitech G700s mouse is actually $150 street price. Some times you get really good temporary deals come along at $75 or so. I suppose both this Steelseries WOW mouse and my Logitech G700s are both nice.

Better hurry though because Mwave will probably sell out fast enough and now PCCG no longer even has the mouse listed on their web site so that choice is out.

  • How is this for StarCraft?

  • +1

surely starcraft is more about which mechanical keyboard you want - as opposed to which mouse.

  • Both g700s and this mouse retail for $99 in the US, but the steelseries is a older model which shops are trying to get rid of. It also may not be good for non-mmo games. The mouse also has a WoW theme/branding which some people may not like. Thats about it.

  • Just received mine from PC Case Gear.. will edit the post a bit later to provide some feedback..

  • Decent wireless mouse I guess, ugly base station, but good value at this price. Doesn't feel anywhere near as good as the wired logitech g9x, which is my current favorite except that it doesn't have extra buttons. Which is why I bought this SteelSeries mouse. Problem is you need to use SteelSeries Engine software to get access to any of the extra buttons. I haven't been able to get Engine running, looks from google like a lot of people have problems with Engine. Poop.

  • received mine today. Like the design of the base. Good thing is that i can use it as wired mouse if the inbuilt rechargeable battery dies in the future. As for the mouse design it,s not very comfortable. 6.5/10
