  I don't understand this product. I thought a normal lightning to 30pin adapter translates everything, except video output and video control commands. This would mean audio should come through fine. So why do we need this with the stereo plug?

    Sadly no, most of the adapters from 30 pin to lightning only transfer data and power. Something about digital/analogue I think.

    I "think" that the Apple ones transmit audio but the third party ones don't and that is why they add the little connection that goes into the headphone socket. As we all know headphone sounds isn't the best when compared to line out. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

  I think almost everybody received there colour choice, Black seems to be the more popular colour.
