I have been eyeing the manfrotto 190cxpro4 tripod for a while.. its a carbon fiber tripod that is light and good for travelling and it has good reviews online

it was 359USD a few weeks ago and then dropped to 279USD.

Its on Amazon Gold Deal today and I have never seen it this cheap.. its 209.99 USD + 23 USD postage which make it around 233USD delivered. That's like 260 odd AUD.

  Just so you know Manfrotto 190XPROB 3-Section Aluminum Pro Tripod is $99 in Myer, I checked it yesterday. So that's a better deal.

    The one OP posted is a carbon fibre/magnesium tripod so I'm not too sure if it is a fair comparison.

    I have one of these tripods. They're pretty good and sturdy though I wish I had bought a Gitzo Travel tripod instead.

  Seem to be the cheapest so far on camelcamel site. Are you able to tell me which head you've got for this tripod. Thinking of getting one but not sure which head would go with it.

    Have a look at the RRS BH-40….if you prefer differing a little cheaper the Sirui K10x or K20x also come recommended.

    basically any heads with 3/8'' screw attachment will fit on it

    the head you'll need really depends on factors such as cost and the load weight you want to use on it

      Thanks guys for your recommendations. I'll look into them. I have a D90 with a 18-200mm lenses so nothing too heavy. Mainly use for landscape & night photography during my holiday. But at this price for carbon fibre I couldn't resist. Rather have 1 good tripod then end up with a whole bunch of tripods which will never get used. Sadly I've succumb to the temptation of ozbargain again :-) Thanks OP for a great deal.
