Rubbish post, "great prices at Harvey Norman" no details and a screenshot of a catlogue showing no great prices…..no one assumes great prices at Harvey Norman so maybe list a few before posting.

        • HN, OW, DSE… cmon man learn the lingo!

    • Er the original post showed no great prices…..update then neg. Good work

      • +3

Well, now that it's updated, you could revoke the neg.

  • +2

What dates are the sale on?

    • I assume it starts on now and end 12th Jan

      • -2

Assume= makes an ASS of U and ME

        • lol,but since few deals struck by friends and others, it is no longer assuming ;)

        • downero, does that mean you are an ass? :)

        • +1

you and me both know we all technically classified as 'tightasses' to salespeople and stores ;)

        • +1

That's true. And professionals to a certain rich old man!

  • I thought the half yearly clearances were usually in late june?

    • +1

June is end of financial year ;), if u live in Gold Coast, 1/2 year clearance is the best chance of year to shop computers and electrical stuff at Harvey Norman, most of them might come down to 80% off

    • +2

These days they're having these half yearly clearances twice a year. Gerry's gone bonkers.

      • lol, no doubt, they need to change the way they do business soon to compete with DickSmith, JBHiFi and BigW. I rate HN 4th among them ;)

  • +1

    (Norton 360 1 yr 5 devices for only $19)

Can't find this on website. http://www.harveynorman.com.au/computers-tablets/computer-ac…

    Nothing $19

    • after $80 cashback, it would come down to $19 for the norton 360 or Trend Micro one's for $27 (after $30 cashback + $40 iTunes card). this catalogue is new hence they will update info soon

      • after $80 cashback,

I don't see anywhere at any store where there is an $80 cashback :s

        • +1

will pop up soon and I think by now the stores already have catalogue that shows these deals ;)

    • 3 Devices is $79 at Dick Smith, and you get the $80 cashback ($40 cash and $40 dick smith gift card) so you pay -$1.

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/128073

      • in this case you pay $39 upfront to DickSmith for their gift card, hence, it's not really $-1 unless you have something else useful to be shopped at DSE ;). Still a good choice if your local HN becomes an ass ~_~

  • Regarding the G2, people on whirlpool saying some got the 32GB version down to $570

    • if they put effort on hunting the deal with JBHiFi coz Harvey Norman has 16GB model (over stock lol) -> sales

      • Can you post the whole catalogue please.

        • +1

can u tell me how coz i never done a whole catalogue before or more than 2 images, cheers

        • +2

          No probs,

you could upload the files to an image sharing site like imgur http://imgur.com and provide the link for each page (I think TightArse did something like this the other day)

cool, will do,stuck with the traffic at this moment ^_^

        • +1

          No dramas. Appreciate your post.

Not everyone has access to cataloguse or local stores. Looks like could be boxing day sale therefore catalogue not on web yet.

        • +1

          done

      • -2

yeah $528 for the 16gb isn't that great of a bargain

    • Dicksmith had it for $650 for 32GB version where in a recent promotion (2 weeks back) if you signed up on a OPTUS byo month to month plan ($25) you get a $100 dicksmith gift card.

Thus, if you bought the phone on wish gift card (5% discount)it would add up to $617.50 + $25 for 1 month plan that you can just cancel.

Plus with the $100 gift card you can then use that on other items? Maybe Eneloop batteries that go on sale every now and then.

      • -1

how can you sign the contract then cancel?

  • +6

    Hottest prices on games

    I doubt it.

  • case for 99c, and a Portable HDD for $78

right, heading down to my local today
    thanks

  • +3

Do you get the free strand of hair with the Lightening to USB Cable?

    • +1

lol, probably mine, took the pic as soon as I woke up … sorry ;)

  • -5

My personal experience with HN, their prices are pretty crap. Dandy store in VIC had an exclusive, "not open to public", staff prices sale recently. Crap. Nothing cheap and a waste of time. Jb have much better prices /deals as a whole.

    • +7

please vote on this deal- not the store in general, as much as most of us dislike HN (due to there blatant ripoff policies) , these prices seem reasonable…

    • +2

I went to their last printer sale to buy a printer listed at $149 on the HN website. It's RRP was $220 and the HN salesman tried to sell it to me for $220 + $70 3 year warranty. He also wanted me to buy the complete set of ink cartridges that were $10 a cartridge more expensive than the BigW store about 100m away. When I asked "isn't this printer on sale?", he offered to sell it for $180. So I walked out and bought at Office Works OzB style.
I'd advise you take any catalogue with proof of national pricing in case you run into a salesman with no idea.

      • I agree, they work for commissions, though ;)

  • Can someone upload the catalog

  • If you buy the Telstra starter kit must it be used in that month?
Can you buy multiple and just get a new number each sum card?
How much do you get on it?
    How much data?

    • you don;t need to activate the sim packs until expired (normally around 1-2 years, depends), you can buy multiple but some places like JBHiFi would limit to 4 packs for legal reason or blah blah, but I had no problems getting heaps of them from other places (but filling the papers out is really pain in the arse, take time). Telstra offers wide range of options, you can choose from Encore to Longlife etc (go onto Telstra's prepaid site for more info)

  • sorry guys, still uploading images of the catalogue, quite a lot and would take a bit of time, thanks for your patient, cheers

  • -1

On the Catalogue I can only see the Telstra Prepaid Starter Kits at $15 and not $10.

Similarly the 1TB portable HDD is $99 and not $78 as per you post.

Am I missing something here :o))

    UPDATE: Catalogue uploaded http://hingchay.imgur.com/all

    • Thanks heaps!

      • you're welcome ;)

        • +1

          No album found. Using tablet

  • Just went to HN Domayne Alexandria to buy the Lumia 520 for $148. They told me the sale is on from 26 December! Am I missing something here?

    • I think they would not mind starting from today since there is no beginning day on the catalogue, just says till 12 Jan. Same as The Good Guys, I would just come into their stores and show them the items on sales tomorrow and they still do the sales.
Also, it depends on the person who you deals with (some are nice and some are … a-hole)

      • The salesguy went and asked the manager after I showed him the catalogue pic. The manager said Nokia provides a limited number of handsets for the sale, which will arrive after Xmas. Might try HN Moore Park.

Where did you get the catalogue? Are you in Sydney metro?

        • yep, it's sent from Sydney and in Gold Coast, my mailbox just received one as the same

    • also, my friends just went home with heaps of colourful 99c cases

      • From which HN shop?

  • Delete

  • Anyone know what the price for bf4 is? Website is still $79/$89

  • +1

such amazing prices, should head down to your nearest store today

Starts Boxing Day according to my local HN.

    • +1

I was told the same by HN Domayne, Alexandria

  • None of these were active at my HN or they didn't want to sell at this price. Although on a side note I did get Mass effect 3's guide for $1 so that was good.

  • If you have a 28 Degrees card with the purchase protection insurance you can buy today before what you want sells out and claim back the difference. I'm going to do that with a couple of things.

  • +1

ShootingStar3388 just saw the $78 HHD (Broadway NSW),so, I think most store's managers/franchisee you mentioned above tried to snap more bucks

    • +1

Yeah how greedy of them wanting to start a sale that starts on Boxing Day on Boxing Day. Awful people.

I mean I'm no huge fan of Harvey Norman but whinging because they won't give you a sale price two days early is just ridiculous.

      • +2

isn't it the main reason for you to come on OzBargain? for a deal or something? we just love bargain and it is up to HN to do it or not, some stores did and some refuse to, hence, telling us 'awful people' might be a bit … unpleasant?

  • +1

Harvey norman site sucks! Think they need to get with the times when it comes to viewing catalogues on their site.

  • Is this from a specific date and a specific store? Online prices don't match the catalog.

    • +2

it's really varied at this moment since there is no printed start day but end day on 12 Jan. Some people could get the deals from their stores, and some couldn't yet until Boxing Day, really up to the franchisees

  • +2

Last page $16 for Sandisk Cruzer Blade USB Flash Drive 3 Pack - 8GB

  • +1

Gonna go down to Officeworks tomorrow for a price match since it's closer than HN.

Hope HN either upload the catalogue to their site, update prices on their site or I get some sympathetic guy at OW who pities me and gives me the price match based on webtherapist's photos. :P

    Fingers and toes crossed. :o

    • +1

      it's officially on now ;)

  • So they have no Telstra multi sim size packs for sale at $10? Will OW price match these?

    • they do, hence OW will price match ;)

      • is it only the prepaid starter kit that is 10 dollars, the micro sim seems to be 15 dollars, which is different from the price in the catalogue. strange!

  • Prices are appearing on the website now. At least for the Lumia 520.

  • Bought norton 360 for $18 after $80 cash back paid $98 now

  • -4

Harvey Norman store manager and Franchisee at Warrawong HN said he could only sell me 5 of the sim starter packs $10 each . His reason " I have to save some for other customers, its my stock I can do what I like with it, I can refuse you service, I can withdraw it from sale" he said . There were about 50 sim starter packs there , but refused to sell me more than 5, even after I pointed out there is no limit in the catalogue . His attitude was, I can do what I like, its my stock . I will see what fair trading has to say on Monday , dont think they take calls on weekends ? What the franchisee is doing doesnt seem right to me ,surely he would be in breach of fair trading laws I would think .

    • +3

You are attempting to buy more than a reasonable average person and you are complaining that they are not treating you "fairly"?

  • So any clue how long we need to be signed up for to get the $5 discount voucher?

  • Went to HN at Westfield Garden City and noticed the $30 microsims were all gone. I asked one of the girls, who ended up asking the manager. He asked me how many I wanted and I said I wanted 12 as I wanted to make use of the $30 Amex rebate. He instantly realized I was a fellow ozbargainer and was more than happy to sell them to me. Thank you!
