Now to buy 10 million of these and be set for life :)

    • 5 million is not necessarily set for life. :)

      • +3

        Depends on your life expectancy.

        • +4

Depends if you can live purely off Ozbargain deals.

set for a life of constantly installing and uninstalling norton.

Limit of 1 claim per valid full-version product purchased, up to a maximum of 1 claim per person, and 3 claims per household/registered business address.

    Max is 3 claims.
You can potentially get $1.50 profit + $30 e-gift card(use Mastercard for payment online)

I bought 3 copies.. now lets see if JB cough up…

and yes, i must be one of the few people that use nortons :)

      • Hi Vladdo,
Did you get a confirmation on the $30 Gift Card?
I submitted my order for 3, paid with MasterCard, and I didn't get any confirmation on the Gift Card?

        • hi royale..

not yet.. but as it says in the T&Cs that some orders have to be manually approved for the giftcard.. i'm assuming that my order is one of those..

      • Hi,

What does "up to a maximum of 1 claim per person" mean?

Can one person get 3 copies and get total claim of $120?

        Thanks,

        • If you invert the clause then it makes more sense.

          3 claims per household

For each household, at most 3 claims can be made by that household.

          1 claim per person

For each person, at most 1 claim can be made by that person. (So you will need 3 different members of the household to make 3 claims.)

1 claim per valid full version product purchased

For each purchase of a product that is "valid full version", at most 1 claim can be made for that purchase.

Disclaimer: This is my interpretation of Norton's T&C. It is general in nature and you should seek professional legal advice.

39.5 is already 50% off, it was $79 when I checked a little earlier

  • -1

$1 for all that work? Norton is certainly not worth putting on your machine.

    • +1

I've always said you'd have to pay me to put Norton on my PC…. Guess heaps of other people did to and Norton caught on and are now selling at this price point.

  • ordered 3 as well. Thanks for the info

  • Dick Smith now have it for $39 with $40 cashback (not $79 with $40 cashback and $40 DS gift card anymore) and it also has free delivery, however it is temporarily out of stock so no good right now, but have a look out for it if you happen to be walking past a store.

  • Does anyone know when you have to activate to claim the cashback? The cashback offer is until March 2014 so I'm assuming until then… can anyone confirm?

    • To claim the Offer online from Symantec, the claimant must first install and activate their purchased Norton product with Symantec after 6:30am AEDT on November 25, 2013 and before 11:59pm AWST March 31, 2014 to enable automatic validation of their claim. The claimant must then visit the www.norton.com/anz/cashbacks site site, and follow the instructions to enter a claim via the Symantec Online Redemption Centre. Online claims will be accepted until 11:59pm AWST on March 31, 2014.

      • cool thanks!!

  • Can we stack the licenses so we can have 3 years for example?

    • Yes, see FAQ 6.

      • thanks, I just contacted them to be sure. First person told me yes, second told me no, third person called me up to say yes again!

  • What happened to the Norton deals years ago like buy for $30 get $40 cash back for $10 profit?

    • +3

Norton should really get there business model together and start doing more of those.

    • Years ago? Made 100% profit ($150) from this Norton Mobile deal from 5 months back. (buy for $15 get $30 cash back) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/109242

  • THANKS OP ;-)
Bought 3 for the $1.50 profit & $30 gift card. My Internet Security from last NORTON profit deal is about to expire. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/85097

    • Hi Bruce,
Did you get a confirmation on the $30 Gift Card?
I submitted my order for 3, paid with MasterCard, and I didn't get any confirmation on the Gift Card?

      • No, but payment is not made until order is confirmed. Gift Card is issued after payment. (I am paying online with MasterCard & picking up. Hope that works with Gift Card.)

  • They have to pay me more than 50 cents if they want me to put Norton on.

  • it appears its only available to pick up in Vic now?

  • correction u need to choose the state first or it defualts to vic. btw does their system allow you to pay 100$ by cc and the rest by gift card or is it one or the other not mixed payment meethods?

  • Are you guys sure that you can buy 3 of these and claim it all back via the one reciept?

    • i think so since its all done online and you dont need to submit a receipt just activate the license and enter it on the claim form online. it just asks where you brought it . max 3 times per household i think? or is it two people per household x3 each?

  • I get the feeling that jb has/or is ignoring the $100 mastercard deal on this purchase. The promotion has now expired and I've yet to receive my giftcard. I've sent them an email asking what is going on, and if I've missed it, I'll be asking to cancel the order and obtain a refund.

    • Keep us updated, I bought 3 sets too :c

    • "JB HI-FI MASTERCARD PROMOTION - OFFER EXPIRED 25/12/2013 @ 10.00pm: GIFT CARD STOCK EXHAUSTED"

T&C state it is JBs decision who qualifies.
JB sends out email confirming MasterCard transaction, THEN email egiftcard BUT says to allow up to 3 days.
      http://www.jbhifi.com.au/images/2013/12/MasterCard-Promo-TCs…

We may have missed out :-(

I MISSED OUT because I wanted to save the delivery charge. With pick up, the order was not confirmed until 7am today - too late to be billed before the cards ran out.

I'll ask for a cancellation of my pick up order. Promotion was advertised when I bought, but not available at time of payment.

      • How do I request a cancellation now :(

      • DON'T PANIC!

        Congratulations!

  • Do I have to register all keys to get a cashback for each of them?

"To claim online, you must first install and activate your Norton™ product on your computer."

    • Yes. And I would uninstall and re-install Norton between each key registration just to be sure.

      • Am I allowed to stack multiple codes onto the one license? eg. extending it to a 2 year subscription with 2 codes?

        • +1

          Yes, see FAQ 6.

        • Dupe comment, sorry.

  • Same price at Good Guys (says $40 online, but it's $39.50 in store)
    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/Symantec_Norton_360_…

  • guys do we have to have 3 different Norton accounts to claim 3 of these? Or when we claim redemption do we just need to put 3 different names?

    • +2
      1. On installation/activation of Norton (which you have to do before you claim the cashback), use the same Norton account.

      2. Put three different names on the online claim forms to comply with Norton's T&C see above.

      3. If you want to stacks the products to get a total of 3-year protection for 3-devices, you should contact Norton customer service see FAQ 6 and ask them to combine your three separate products (1-year protection for 9-devices) into one.

      • Great!

        One more question:

Do we have to re-install each time or can we just open up norton click account -> click renew subscription and then type in the product key?

EDIT: Oh I see you suggested to uninstall and reinstall just above

        • I do not have a definitive answer to that, but you do have $40 riding on each successful claim. Is your time and effort worth $120? That is why I suggested you do the uninstall-reinstall dance.

Think about this. If it is as simple as adding a new product key to an existing Norton activation (which is what will happen if you do not uninstall Norton 360 beforehand), then why does FAQ 6 advise writing to Norton Customer Service?

  • I got one cheque today

    • Wow.. that was quick.. when did you submit the claim?

      • I think the 3rd of this month
