Chicken Thigh Kebab Skewers $1.50ea (Was $6.29) @ Woolworths Mordialloc VIC

61

Hey guys, my first share but I picked up some chicken thigh kebabs from Mordialloc Woolworths tonight for $1.50 each. They had signs up advertising it and they had 3 flavours: peanut satay, spicy bbq and a honey soy, I don't believe there was any honey soy left, however there was plenty of the others available.

I cannot confirm if any other Woolworths are doing this special, it might be an in house only.

The expiry date for all of them is the 29th of December, so very good for a cheap meal and for freezing.

I'd guess these are reduced to clear as they only have two days left. Not worthy of a post if this is the case. Is there a reduced sticker on the packaging, hence the pic of the receipt? Also "Skewers"

  • No there is not. its not reduced, i did have both the receipt and this photo but couldn't figure out how to post both in the main post but i asked a mod and they said i couldn't do it like that.

It appears there is a piece of info. missing from the story. WW don't just do 75% off meat 'for fun'.

      • All i can say is there was a lot of stock, like 3 full racks and the fridge near the self service was full as well, other than that its all the info i have sorry, they had those black special signs on them as well.

  • Yeh only 2 days left… these are reduced items.

    • Its strange though, i didn't think they made those black signs up for a reduced lot of stuff? anyways i won't share this type again.

thanks for your comments at least i know now

The Pines Shopping Centre, Elanora Qld had them for 88 cents each. Reduced to clear.. I made chicken kebabs for Xmas so I wasn't interested in buying more..

  • The thing i did notice is on the receipt it scanned as $1.50 not $6.29 minus $4.79 so my understanding is this might have been planned as they need to code the system for price, along with the black special signs they had out, maybe they ordered too much for Christmas/Boxing day

If this had a big fat yellow reduced sticker on it, i wouldn't have posted it here as its obvious not to.

  • Such specials are store specific…..

  • Wyndham Vale Woolies currently have then for $1.00 each. Normally $1.15. Sometimes living in the west is best.

Edit: Scratch that, looked at the second photo from OP and it's packs of kebabs marked down.

  • Great deal if you need them and can get them. I'd be buying all I could and freezing them.
