Really want to nag this deal, not personal Jase, unless they can make the delivery under $1, previous one was like $19.98 delivered.

The fact is delivery is around $5, makes this no temptation.

    • +1

Sorry mate I have changed it. It's free delivery on EBAY.

      • +2

        It's great deal then, thanks~

  • +6

It's a shame they don't have the same kind of deals on an 8 pack of AAA Eneloops

    • +1

Aldi have aaa in 4 packs, $6.99 i think.
      Activ Energy 850mAh.
These appear to be low discharge cells.
Check the back of the pack for most recent build date.
I have a pack and no complaints so far, only recharged a couple of times on a Sanyo standard charger.

      • +3

If you do a Google search on "Aldi Rechargeables Batteries" there are many positive comments on them from various websites.
I haven't found any negative comments, so I would love to hear why people are negging my comment when I am trying to help.

        • +3

Don't worry about it. Some ppl don't like other brands mentioned that aren't related to the deal. The you have your diehard Eneloop fans (as if anyone on OzB wouldn't be…).

Lesson: There will always be 'Haters that are gonna hate'.

        • +1

I have been using the aldi 2300mah LSD AA's and they have been fine. Regular price is cheaper than enloop on special. Last for ages in my cordless keyboard.

  • +3

    These batteries look fabulous!

    • but they still don't match my glitterses!

  • Wow, you can get Watch Dogs for PS3 by Mon. 6 Jan. and Mon. 13 Jan.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Watch-Dogs-PS3-/261364010263?pt=A…

I think its an error !

  • +4

Good deal, but I've got enough AAs already, need AAAs.

  • So many negative feedback on this seller on ebay - 20 negs in 1 month alone (1078) rating 97.8%
I'll wait for the standard $19ish delivered deal again next year

    • someone should tell ACA, they'd love this…

      • -2

Why would ACA care about some negative feedback for a company like DSE? ACA and Today Tonight are both utter rubbish but to suggest they would investigate negative feedback is lunacy.

        • -1

          Breath Animal.

          He/She is Joking.

        • its because they are rubbish that they'd like it.
retailer with good reputation can't deliver same service on ebay? I dunno, got you stirred up tho so not without merit.

          Lunacy, there is a word i don't see enough…

        • -1

          double

  • can someone tell me why these batteries have been popular? also, what is the difference between these 2 models besides the colour?

    • they hold charge over time when not used and tests show they can be used in more cycles whilst holding close to capacity.

Basically the better product in the market and its similar $$$.

  • How many 'mah' is this battery? 2000?
I got 12 Duracell and energizer rechargable, they are around 2450~2600mah for around 3 years now. Is it worth to replace them?

    • +3

Yes, yes and yes. 12 of them last as long as two eneloops.
Got a few of these so far and would never settle for anything less!

      • Cool thanks just order one! Also do I need a special charger? I have a energizer charger for 4 AAs, is that good enough?

        • I use either an Energizer charger or another one that is called PURE Energy (yeah that's W@NK!). They seem to work fine. But of course I always do wonder if the Eneloop charger would be somehow better tuned to these batteries. I won't be bothering to get the eneloop charger

  • +6

+1 for a deal on AAA Eneloops :)

  • +1

nice. Just picked up one. Thank you.

  • +5

I have and are using these with no issues
    http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__25023__Turnigy_AA…

Comes to 12.87USD = 13.86AUD for 8. Usually ship from their warehouse in Melbourne. Try to catch them when they are a buck a piece and even better deal

    • Is shipping free on hobbyking and can we select the Australian warehouse ?

    • +1

That site shows $12.72 for 8 cells + $10.06 postage = $22.78 (+ an extra 2.93% if paying with Visa). Unless I've really messed something up there, $22.78 is not cheaper than $18.98

  • Are prices going up or coming down on these? Reason i ask is i have enough for now but would likely pull the pin and buy if prices are on the way up. Cheers!

    • a quick search shows this is good for Aus product.

  • Still waiting for the ones I ordered on 11/12/2013…

  • +1

Ordered two packs because all my previous Eneloops were mysterious missing in the pile of toys. Thanks OP.

  • You may want to order directly from their website so you can use gift cards.

    • And pay $5 shipping?

      • Sorry, just assumed it was free shipping.

  • +2

    anything with a charger?
    looking for AAA and AA

    • there is a product with 8 x AA and 2 x AA with the charger and some other junk, seems they don't package a charger with AAA's in a basic product. Odd.

  • Bought from their ebay account, nothing arrived no communication now see the payment has been refunded with no explanation. At least they're accountable through their actual store.

  • Is this the lowest price gen3 Eneloops have been?

  • wat's da difference between Uomo and Rouge?

    • Colour only (boy/girl colours). From same gen.

  • +1

For anyone after a smart charger -
La Crosse Technology BC-700 (AA & AAA) Battery Charger
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/122023

  • love eneloops, they're just reliable.

another strange thing i've found is that they're not too thick, they fit nicely in my alu torch while my duracells are tight and my recykos won't go in at all.

    • What brand batteries are unreliable?

      • my duracells discharge much faster, and the size issue with my recykos means i can't put them into my torch or 360 controller. i also had some enitimes, but they might've been fake since they acted like normal nimhs.

eneloops from a reputable shop is simply the safest bet.

      • Ive had to throw away 4x packs of 4 energisers… :| NOT HAPPY JAN…..

    • +1 Same here. Eneloops fit better in some places.

  • +1

Bought 2 (1x Uomo and 1xRouge). THanks OP.
Now it's time to look for the charger.
    La Crosse or Maha….hard choice.

    • Get the Maha, it's bigger which is better for heat dissipation and has more options for charging and discharging currents. Not sure what the new La Crosse model mentioned is like. jm2c

  • +1

They're also the same price in store (Bourke St). The ticket said $40 but when I got to the counter they were $19. Got myself an 8 pack of the Rogues!

    • But these are $18.98 and I don't even have to start the car

      • But you have wait. I always prefer click n collect as there is a DSE 15 mins walk from my house.

  • Uomo sold out, last few went whilst I procrastinated.

  • +1

I just bought two packs of the Uomo. I think there were only 4 left when I pressed buy… these will be my first set for my son who has now started getting battery type toys.. now to decide on the charger.

    • +1

They won't be the last :)

  • +1

    Purchased 4 packs thanks

  • +2

I suffer from eneloop-itis. In other words, too many eneloops.
I feel cheated I paid a dollar more per pack a little while ago. ;-)

The laggard gets the rewards, apparently ;)

    • +1

Pretty sure you're not the only one. A dollar goes a long way especially on OzB.

  • +2
    • Cheers zadax well spotted I'll update the post..

  • Picture says 10-2012. I hope these will be fine.

    • Why wouldn't they be? They don't expire like normal alkalines. You can recharge them 1000+ times. They should last you a life time.

    • Pink arrived. Date of June 2013.

  • got a pack, they will come in handy for remotes and things, thou these days we tend not to rely on AA batteries all that much

    • +1

Only If you don't have kids or they don't have toys.

      • +1

Or a wife. With toys. (Did I say that aloud?)

  • Great price for delivered

  • +1

Thanks OP. Got one. Now lets hope to get one delivered. My 2 orders were cancelled last time without any notification or email.

  • +1

    price changed to $39.98

    • Yep, Dickies has reverted to the usual Massive Mark-Up.

  • I have received my UOMO pack……. BUT IT IS NOT AS DESCRIBED..

it only have 3 colours instead of 4

    BLACK
    BLACK
    PURPLE
    GREY
    BLACK
    BLACK
    PURPLE
    GREY

    anyone got the same?

    • anyone got the same?

3 colours/designs just like you said, except the 2 blacks are (slightly) different, making it 4 really. One is more of a dark grey. They are very close though.

4 more distinct colours/designs with the pink set though (which are fantastic by the way; all you guys shouldn't be afraid of the pink)

      • I also picked up a pack of each colour.

        No discrepancies here.

As cheepwun mentioned, diff. shades, 1 is more a gun metal grey.

  • Looks like a few of these recently purchased eneloops already being resold on eBay.
Given how often these are available for <$20, does anyone actually pay full price?

    • I have seen many times people buying stuff from ebay without checking actual prices.
They know the retail price only.

Like e.g. xBox retails for $400, a good deal is selling it for $250 in some store. You will find many people buying used ones for $300.

  • Got mine posted yesterday as well.

  • I got mine in the mail 2 days after order. I have heard all the bad news about DSE and this was my first experience with them and I can only say it was very positive.

The batteries I believe are from Singapore.. has SG markings and are dated April 2013. May be local stock.. I have no idea how to confirm.

    • Mine are made in Japan dated 08/13.

      • They are all made in Japan (all the genuine ones anyway), but I think they were sourced from Singapore like sumkp mentioned. (see the circular sticker on the back that mentions eneloop.com.sg).

        http://eneloop.com.sg is the singapore site.
