      @luke73

      Thanks. updated

  • do you have to have a new number? if i wana keep my old number how do i do this?

    • port your old number to the new one

    • if its telstra, you have to buy a $2 prepaid optus/voda starter kit, port out then port back in. Should only waste a few hours time.

      • Don't try and port out and back in on the same day as it has in the past caused issues and means the port back in can be delayed several days. Wait at least one calendar day before trying to port back.

        • Just check your 'My Account'.
          If your phone number is still showing in Telstra's portal, you can't port yet. Wait until your number disappears. Usually is less than an hour.

    • You could also creatively use the Telstra Me2U service to transfer credit from the new SIM to your old SIM.

    Is the Telstra ipad starter kit the 3GB in 30 days one?

  • Give me 4G USB ;(

    • Pay them more money.

  • Purchased 7 of these ipad 3GB starter kits at Woolworths this morning. I spent >$30 in 7 separate transactions :)

    • i think you blew your money - T/C - "Offer must be redeemed by 28/01/14."

  • Do you have to purchase the kits at the same time as the >$30 spend?

    • Grab $30 or more of stuff, then ask the counter where these SIMs are stored/displayed and include it in that one transaction. It will show up as $30, with the discount applied.

      • correction, it will show up as $10 with the discount applied. ;)

  • I had receipts from four separate $30 transactions, brought them to a different store that actually sold the starter kits and was told it was not one per transaction, but one per customer. Went home and looked it up and the catalogue says one per transaction. I am going to double check with corporate tomorrow before going back. Am I right in thinking that I can buy one SIM card at a time, in successive transactions? If it doesn't explicitly say one per customer!
