Sort of like Kogan Australia and Kogan Hong Kong.

      • Isn't an Australian registered business required for a .com.au domain?

No. Some HK sellers use the "TradeMark" loophole.

Others do use an Australian contact with an ABN/ACN.

    • is this site reliable ?

      • is this site reliable ?

Yes, but if you need after sales support…. I would check the reviews/reports on ProductReview.com.au and Whirlpool.net.au

Also, I believe their local 'agent' would send SAMSUNG/iPhone handsets back to Hong Kong for service/replacement. So, you would be in for a bit of a wait. Only one year warranty and no Consumer Protection under Australian Law/Legislation. (Despite them using a .com.au)

        is this site reliable?

Not especially. They sent me (and others) the wrong phone which we had to return at our own cost to receive a promised refund which nevwr materialised.

When I eventually ended up claiming a refund through paypal the company lied to them and said they had not received it back from me. Fortunately I had proof that they had.

  • WOW ! That's bad. I have purchased 3 cameras from them and have had fast postage and no problems.

Its not the postage you have to worry about, its when things go wrong all you will ever get from DWI is the finger.

Its a great phone, mine arrived from kogan ($479 shipped) last week. I wouldn't buy it from DWI though. Not after that galaxy note extortion incident and the many other reports of their terrible warranty shenanigans.

  • Like the look of this phone. Could someone recommend where I could buy it from?

  • Mobileciti / Kogan / Unique Mobiles will get my vote, but not these clueless dropshippers trying to make a quick buck from unassuming people who think they got a good deal because of their seemingly low prices.

I believe that Kogan drop ships from their HK Company? No stock of HK Market phones is held in Australia by Kogan Australia.

    • Of course it is they are all grey imports at this price. The difference is that kogan actually cares about its online reputation vs a few dollars in forgone profit, if and when things don't go quite to plan. DWI is strictly full profit only at all and any cost.

Yes, I agree that Kogan AU/HK would be the best of a bad bunch - with DWI being the worst if anything were to go wrong at any time.

I just thought that it was best to point out that none of these suppliers (with the exception perhaps of Mobileciti?) actually stock the handsets in Australia. Your mentioning drop shipping by those other than Kogan made it seem that Kogan was not doing the same thing.

        • It wasnt me who mentioned drop shipping. But yeah I guess it is important to say because some people mistakenly think buying kogan is buying from an au company (some even think DWI is Australian lol). I mean they do try their best to make people think that.
