    • thanks - my 1st post back was deemed a dupe, so hopefully this deal isn't dumped as well…

besides the woolworths online vouchers, jb hifi gift card, scoopon v.me and officeworks ipad deals, any other special highlights i should regret missing from the past couple of months? :)

  • God dammit, I just bought an 8-pack for $5.35 ($0.67/roll) from Woolies a few days ago!!

Aldi 24 Rolls Toilet Rolls for $8.99 is always a good buy for every day price.

Agree. Possibly the same as Quilton but with a different embossed pattern. 24 x 190 sheets = $0.197 per 100 sheets.

  • Great Aussie owned and made brand!

Kleenex cottonelle has gone to s**t, it's like 1.5 ply or something now?

      • It seems it's been poor for quite a while. I can't remember exactly when, but once upon a time it was a very nice roll. And then, like most products, they slowly reduce the quality below 'just noticiable difference' while you still have the habit of buying it. Maybe up to 10 years ago. Here I was thinking I'd get a bargain at 50c per roll, when the Aussie Quilton was better quality all along for less!

These 24-pack (exclusive to Woolworths?) rolls have smaller diameter than regular Quilton rolls; maybe they're packed more tightly to save on space, making them not as soft as well. I bought some from Big-W and they are softer/compressible like sponge (air in them); in comparison the Woolworths' 24-pack ones seem to have been flattened.

I had a look at these yesterday and confirm these do have smaller diameter rolls. They are 190 sheets per roll, as opposed to ~220 sheets on others such as the 2-ply Homebrand. Keeping in mind the Quilton are 3-ply however they do seem like those flattened commercial style toilet rolls you find in commercial office cubicles.

  • I wouldn't wipe my… oh actually yes i would :P

Quilton is decent…especially at this price. Remember the rain checks for out of stock stores professional OzBargainers ;)

Once my housemate bought the Coles Basics 1-ply toilet paper that mentions "Why pay more for basics?" on the packaging…

I would say Coles 1-ply basics toilet paper is wafer thin but to be honest I'd have more luck wiping my bum with an actual wafer.

  • I bought four packs today with my friend and while running across the street, each with a pack of this giant brick of toilet paper under each arm, an angry old man in his car beeped us as we hit the road just as the little man started flashing orange on the traffic lights where he was about to turn left. What a jerk.

  • I got in touch with my inner self today.

That's the last time I ever buy single-ply toilet paper!

Jokes aside, thanks for this post! I have lots of family staying with us at the moment, we've been going through a 24 pack a week for the last month. I just went and stocked up on TP for at least the next few months.
