if your items ships from different locations (N. Melb & S. Melb) then you get hit twice with the $5 shipping fee.

also if i had to buy another flash light instead of the mag i would get the life gear http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/35505/product/life-gea…

    or the LED Lenser L7

good point. your items have to ship from the same location and in the same parcel.

oh and i bought the maglite purely as a non baton-looking baton ;)

  • Just put a quilt cover in my cart and got charged $7.84 shipping is there something i am missing?

    • link please?

extra shipping could be due to your postcode or large/heavy items

  • Same….4 items in my cart and shipping is $18.25 shipping. One of the items got charged $8.25 for shipping.
With that much shipping it's not worth buying the stuff in my cart.

So the $5 shipping cap applies only if you can guess that the items are coming from same location - as some toys and electronics are being shipping from same location, but other toys are getting charged over $8 to ship the one item from a separate location.

  • Nope.. I added the same item 3 times.. and shipping hit $25

  • The Dunlop Volley Internationals were a good price I thought. If you're into that kind of thing…as my 600 year old husband is :-)

LEGO Ultimate Building Set #6166 www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/35757/product/lego-ultimate-b… is well priced at $20, albeit the shipping for this item alone adds another $7.84 to Sydney.

I originally had this and another dozen mixed items in my basket to scrape the $100 spend for the $20 rebate, but when I saw that the shipping came to nearly $20 despite the supposed $5 cap (I had no bulky, separately shipped items either) I emptied my cart of all but the Lego. It's getting harder and harder to find value propositions on COTD. Might be time to unsubscribe and save myself 10 minutes a day.

    Regardless, thanks OP!
