  • This isn't co-developed by Google like the Nexus line — this is just a "ASUS MeMO Pad" without any Google branding. :)

    • Hope it's great than other cheap unbranded tablets in Woolworth,Coles, Aldi, etc for around $100.

This is a decent price, but don't confuse it with the Asus Memo Pad HD 7. The performance of this model is not fantastic.

This is way better, sure its a little extra, but worth the extra $.

True, but not available to most Aussies as there is no stores on the East Coast, and no home deliveries from Retravision. I have personally played with this model tab, as well as the Asus HD7 and the nexus 7 ( 2012 and 2013 ), for people wanting to surf the web , check emails, skype calling and playing some regular games ( not the latest graphics intensive ), this tablet should do fine. It is well built, screen although not IPS and resolution of 1024x600, 169 PPI, is nice and sharp, as well as bright, better than most reviews give it credit for. The viewing angles suffer a bit, but able to live with, especially for this price point. Don't forget the Free Asus Cloud storage 5 Gig lifetime, include Asus hard case with screen protector included. Great value, as long as you have realistic expectations for this tablet. Enjoy.

      • Not to quibble…OK, I'm probably quibbling ;) there is a store in Rockhampton, QLD.

        • Hahaha, your right, but even you would not drive there from Brisy hay.

      • Sorry never realised it was out of stock, since the deal was still active. Yeah it seems retravision isn't around much now. I have an asus memopad fhd, and they are quite a good tab, but I can't see this old model using a via processor being very good. If its anything like the aldi tabs I've tried, I wouldn't even bother and supposedly they have better hardware than this. Even the newer 7" memopad doesn't seem that appealing against a tab with n7 specs.
