This is a list of the participating school.

    • Thanks for the neg whoever it was. Helpful posts must = negs. Some people may have wanted to know whether their school is already listed.

Just a note, I have registered and not received an email yet. Anyone else not received an email yet?

I wouldn't stress too much about negs around here, not that it really matters, but it can be as simple as some sausage-fingered oaf on an iphone missing the + & hitting the -. ;)

  • What is the pricing like compared to e.g. Umart, MSY, OW, etc?

  • WD Elements Desktop 3 TB would come to $112

    • +1

That's still $3 more expensive than what MSY is selling at the moment.(and they sell it at $99 before the Christmas) I'm pretty sure they are out of stock in Vic though.

      • That extra $3 covers shipping, though.

$3 not to have to drive out to, and stand in line at, MSY is a bargain.

        • Depends on how you look at it though.

$3 = Need to either wait at home for it to come so you can sign it (potentially wasting 8 hrs depending on when it arrives) or waiting at the post office (which can potentially have long lines).

MSY lines aren't bad as long as you know what time to get there.

      • Post in error - not sure how to delete

    • sold out in seems :(

  • they dont seem to sell WD red hard drives here in australia ??

  • Accepted my standard bigpond email too

Accepted my gmail too. Passport 1TB Silver for $79.99 delivered is a bargain.
Prices on staticice: GG $89, MST $95, CPL $98.

    • I'm not sure that's a great bargain, Hitachi Touro 1TB always has been $79.

      • To each his own. The WD 1TB Passport Silver has 4.5 stars from 5,720 customer reviews. The Hitachi 1TB Touro has 4 stars from 136 reviews.

        • +1

If their 3.5" failure rates at BackBlaze are anything to go by, I'd get the Hitachi instead.
That, and the fact that so many WD drives have died on me!
          http://blog.backblaze.com/2014/01/21/what-hard-drive-should-…

        • Bear in mind that the WD Black was not included in their analysis.

        • But we were talking about WD Passport drives. Those aren't black-series. They're consumer drives like the ones BackBlaze used.

Of course, being different drives the analysis might not translate across, but it's interesting to note the differences in reliability nevertheless.

  • The only internal drives available are 1TB Green (WD10000CSRTL3) for $127.99.

  • Extremely limited range… Great if you can find something useful though!

  • How much a 3tb my book live (NAS) one?

    • $199 - out of stock.

  • Thanks

  • Got login using Gmail, but the price quite standard?

Wd external my book desktop 3TB: $209.99

  • Note that the My Passport Ultra is $104 after discount. MSY - $105, JB, Good Guys - $119. You get free shipping and payment options without the 2% CC fee with MSY.
