909 12V Drill/Driver Li 2 Batteries $20 (Was $40) @ Masters

340

Was scouting around Masters for odds and sods.

Picked this up for 20 bucks (can't go wrong I figured).

Tried it out, well balanced plenty grunt for a 12V unit! Has a spirit level built in.

Better than my 14.4 Bosch.

  • Damn none in store near me and $8.95 postage. Still a great deal though

  • none near me :(

  • Cheers, just ordered one over the phone.

Amazing deal, thanks OP! Don't need one but was tempted just to see what they're like. Decided to let another OzBargainer have mine ;)

  • Its says two speed gear, so does this mean that when you hit the trigger its just an on switch and you literally have two speeds or do you have progressive control via the trigger and two speed ranges?

    • Yeah, good question. Looks like a Hi/Low switch on the top so for that price I assume the trigger would just be on & off… surely!? Gees, if it's a variable trigger I think I'd better get one!

It's a variable trigger with two speed ranges. I own one of these and have been pretty happy with it for odd jobs around the house.

    • Definitely have progressive control. I tested this properly.

I drove 17 wood screws in last night with it (factory battery charge) and every time had good speed control and the torque settings on the chuck are good too.

For $20 bucks cant go wrong

  • Wonder when Masters will realise Adelaide doesn't have a Store…
    :+)

I moved from SA to WA 15 days ago. Back home used to salivate at masters pricing on some items. Adelaide def needs competition for Bunnings.

Cheaper than buying a battery for my old Ozito. Thanks OP!! (Got one, to collect, saved the shipping too!!)

    Any melb stores with stock?

  • Thanks OP but I unfortunately missed out.

None left at the Burnside or Braybrook store in Melbourne despite website saying they do.

  • Sweet deal, but next to all gone.

  • Just rang the head office and was told all stores are out of stock except WA. Its a discontinued item

  • +1

Ordered one successfully with click and collect from Braybrook, but just received a call saying that they don't actually have any in stock.

    • That sounds like my experience every time I order something from Masters Braybrook

    • Thank you, you just saved me a trip into Braybrook. Not sure how they can get this wrong, especially after they are made aware of the stock level issue, 24 hours later.

honestly get something with 18V with hammer drill function as minimum……. just my opinion.

    • Do you need hammer drills for wood? News to me… It is $20

  • Thanks OP, just used it, amazed at the torque! It is smallish and lightweight, battery looks tiny however it's out of box charge was amazing… My first Li ion drill to be honest, a true bargain at $20 :) oh and 2 year warranty
