  • You weren't here for last night's doughnut idiocy collective where you Scott?

Best of luck to you sir.

PS - make sure there was sufficient stock. This is one ground that often kills posts on clearance items. Also, because the product is perishable, there may be an argument about concerns about the product (were the flowers still fresh, etc?).

    • No i missed out on that one.. what did i miss ?

Just a meeting of OzBs foremost tyre kickers.

  • I would give these to my partner today or if it was the 14th some plastic flowers (the gift that keeps giving).

Maybe this is why i'm still single…

…and gives Easter eggs on Easter Monday.

My mum always called it 'Scottish Easter'…we'd get given a small egg and $5 on the Sunday. Then taken on a real (half price) Easter egg hunt on the Monday :) It was a great lesson as a kid in maximising your money too. Though some years it could be quite the hunt if there happened to be a shortage of stock!

      • haha thats fantastic. I remember as a kid the year i discovered that easter eggs are 50% off after easter, i thought i was albert einstein. A few years later i realised the $/kg of the chocolate at 50% off was about the same as buying a block of cadburys on special anyway. That said, i still buy the bags of solid sara lee chocolate after easter, but usually only enough to last me a few weeks.

    • that's if your partner is also an ozbargainer… to do this

  • similar thing to some of the chocs, got massive 800g cadbury favs in a tin for $10 at my local coles

Got a dozen roses for $35 from Woolies Hornsby NSW - was $125 (!) on valentine's day, a 72% discount. Better late than never.

ps. OP, your % calculations or prices appear wonky, pls confirm discount.

    • the sign said from 60% off, so some flowers had more than 60% off, hope that makes sense

My wife was still happy, roses are good as a gift anyday.

  • if it is called valentine's day rose, it should be sold on the valentine's day.

Tell that to all the Easter/Christmas products that are advertised well in advance.

Doesn't have to be Valentine's Day to give your girl a rose.

    Roses are red
    Violets are too
    Here's some dead flowers
    I Ozbargained for you.

  • I went to woolies in aberfoyle park SA and the dozen long stem roses are only reduced to $17.50 :(

  • +1

I went there yesterday. 3/4 of the flowers are practically dead.. They had a big bucket originally was $45, now $9.. but wasn't even worth the $9!

  • PLEASE do not waste your money on these. They are well over a week old, and have had supermarket care during that time. You'll be lucky to get a couple of days from them.

    • The deal was posted days ago… at the time the flowers were two days old.
