Clearing stock for the arrival of the S5?

    • +8

Sound like it although at these prices ain't going to clear the stocks for sure.

his right why neg? galaxy s5 is getting announced 25th feb 6am sydney time :)

  • +3

Can't believe s2 still goes for this price

    • Ha I still have the First Samsung Galaxy. Been looking for an upgrade, though I might wait till the S5 release then just get a S3 4G as they look pretty good for the price if they drop any more.

If your after a current tech phone at old tech prices then check out the Nexus 5. Slightly more than the S3 but a more worthwhile upgrade.

        • yep funny i was having the exact same convo last night with a mate who was moving off his shattered iphone .. :) he was looking at S3 i said the exact same thing.

Except I need more storage space so need a micro SD slot. I can't believe people don't consider this when saying "you should get a Nexus 5".

It's like suggesting to buy a car with only two seats when you have a family of four.

        • Google are trying to go down the path of having everything on their cloud based storage. Guess just depends how much you are willing to stream off your data plan.

Anything over 32gb seems lazy more than anything, to me that just means 'can't be bothered backing up my photos on a computer'.

        • or a crapload of apps and app data. I have a Lumia 920 with ~20Gb of apps, and considering Windows Phone doesn't have any apps…

        • +1

i say it because its not an issue to the user i'm talking to and if it was i would suggest to pay for the 32gig version but money was an issue so the 16gig was fine, as i said i suggested this to a person who is on an iphone 4 who has no idea about micro sd cards and the ability to expand so to them there is no diff… what i wouldn't do is tell an iphone 4 person ok get a android phone that is now 2 gens behind the nexus… ooh and today the S5 is announced…

this is also not mentioning updates to the android OS which hit nexus devices first…

i'm a heavy app user and i have a htc one (no micro sd) and i have bought my wife a lg g2 (nexus' brother) also no micro sd … to me it is an non issue.

        • My work mate got a Nexus 5 because he doesnt do much video recording, gaming or photography via phone, only listens to music. Who needs to carry more than 32GBs of music at one time anyway? So if you're that type of a person, the Nexus 5 is you-beaut. I've got the 32GB Nexus 5 and its the best phone I've ever owned - no skins or bloatware and direct Google updates while the rest wait for 6-18 months for them. My wife's imported S3 4G only recently received Android 4.3 even though its been out for 18 months now from Google.

        • I also have a One, best size, shape and build phone I have ever used. I sometimes miss the familiarity of generic android, and I miss the slickness and ease of Windows Phone 8. But as far as hardware not much compares. Hopefully HTC doesn't go broke :/

      • Good to see you aren't a slave to the latest and greatest

  • I am also looking for a new phone - Bit of a sucker for a 5" or larger display (although not too large), maybe I should get the Note 2. Just depends if the prices will drop more….hmmm, Otherwise ideal budget is about $300~ give or take.

  • what does international stock mean? grey or aus?.

    • -1

Does it matter? You get 2 years local warranty regardless.. But in answer to your question it sounds like a grey import.

      • It matters when you wanna claim GST

      • of course it matters, as its not the standard manufacturer's warranty.

the local warranty is with the shop who runs their own service centre.

    • this is grey import.

    • It also matters when the $#!? Hits the fan and you done any to wait for a round trip to BF Egypt for your replcement phone
