  • "With Remote Pan & Tilt"
I can't find any mention of this in the link.

  • 1) Does recording at night with the camera facing outside through the glass create a blurry picture, due to IR reflection?
    2) Is the video quality good?
    3) Could you connect an external hdd to your router network so that you can record straight to it without the need for a pc being on all the time.

      1. Placing an IR LED equipped camera behind glass makes viewing at night impossible as the IR reflects off the glass into the lens, completing blocking it out
      2. I don't have one of these, can't comment
      3. Don't have one of these but most cameras can record directly to FTP. If your router can run the HDD on an ftp server, it's likely that the camera will be able to record to the server
      • 1) Night time IR is OK in the house (black and white) but day time it is OK to see outside

        2) Quality HD is very good but not sure basic one…

        3) I don't think so

      1. Impossible to view thru glass window due to IR reflection
      2. It is like comparing full hd movie to vcd on a 1080p screen. The Kogan pantilt ipcam video is decent but not great
      3. It does FTP client iirc. You can feed the video to it. Alternatively you can use sd card as recording media.

That will make it useless if have sunlight, when strong light come toward the lens, you only can see a white screen on monitor.

    • It is for indoor use. I have been using outside, no trouble. My house is not directed to sun.
The producer is not recommending, it is only my personal experience.

  • +1

Guys while we're here, can someone please recommend me a good outdoor night vision cam? Some idiots have been egging my car lately, so I'd like to catch the perpetrators (or at least their number plate)!

    Thanks :D

    • Get ones that has 960p ability. Foscam has them and the indoor one I been using (fi9831w) has great clarity.
You might want to hide the camera so whoever egging your car wont see it.
