Had this flyer at o-week at University of Sydney but doesn't seem limited to students.

Good incentive if you haven't used the service before… or want to create a new account ;)

Details:
Uber is a company that provide a range of taxi services from regular taxis to an Audi R8 - UberLUX (priced accordingly). It relies heavily on using the app or website to a taxi that you can track through the GPS function, major benefit is that you can have a personal pickup at the airport or major events and you pay through the app and can use a split bill function (pay through multiple credit cards).

    Promo credit doesn't show up apparently, but will be used first before your credit card is charged if you entered the promo code correctly

  Anyone found a way to have multiple accounts for this? I.e. start a new account to get this deal, without having a new mobile number…

    a new mobile number is required to register a new account, but that number isn't used until a booking is made :)

    (a mobile number cannot be registered to more than one account)
