Weight: 2.65 KG -> too heavy
LCD: 15.6" TOUCH LED LCD diplay (1366x768) -> Not FHD
    Hard Drive: Hybrid 1TB 5400RPM + 24GB SSD -> prefer a 128Gb ssd

too little spec for the money

Also take note the i7 is a ultra low voltage CPU, with dual cores and 4 threads.

Unlike the Horize laptop featured a few weeks back, this isn't much of a gaming laptop, more of a casual multimedia one.

    • thanks, could you maybe suggest something with the better specs at the same price? i cant really seem to find anything better which is less than $1100.

    Pity its not Full HD

If I am spending $1000+ then it needs full HD

you'll get a lot of contrarians who love 1,366 x 768 and will state FHD is 'too many pixels and too small for my poor eyezzz' and since you cant see the diff on a 32" LCD, why would it matter on 15.6?

      • ok but here's the rub, if you just want to browse the web and use office programs, you want FHD, but if you want to game, FHD on a GT740M is going to suck big time unless it's really old games, you simply can't make one machine for all people, it's not like a desktop where you can just swap out the gpu or lcd!
ps yes i am aware there were some special laptops with upgradeable gpu but that's the exception not the rule

        • yeah sure but wouldnt you be able to run HD in games on an FHD screen?

it would scale HD right to the edge i'm assuming

if it doesnt thats shit but then would any seriously game on a gt740? maybe cs source?

      • Because you don't sit a 32" LCD on your lap!

      • I prefer FHD, because 768 vertical lines isn't enough to use the laptop productively.

My GF prefers 768 so she doesnt squint.

        To each their own.
(also I'm not complaining it makes her laptops cheaper)

  • It's definitely underspecced for price. The correct price point for low res, not-a-proper-ssd, but with graphics card should be $900. But then I'd recommend getting one without the graphics card and saving another $100.
