What's the risk here? We have Paypal to defend our honour, which I'm sure we won't need anyway.
You might receive paypal scam email.
The risk here is that you might receive spoof emails from chinese sites that looks like an official paypal email telling you your account has been compromised and you need to log in to verify your account and change your password. They will provide you a link inside the email looking like "paypal.com" but it actually brings you to another fake site looking paypal. They just want to get your log in details and password.
You have that risk with any website which collects your details.
I think the greater risk is here that they may email you offers for other products which you might be suckered into paying for at a higher price.

something seems amiss - I didn't get an email from paypal, and the transaction doesn't appear on my paypal account.
But there's no way they got access to my paypal account is there?? I just reset password just in case.I checked the url when I clicked the pay with paypal link. it was definitely paypal, with a nice padlock icon telling me at the least my browser thinks the certifcate is correct.
I then recieved an email from paypal confirming the purchase (as well as two or three emails from gearbest).
Can't go wrong for a cent.

My company ship this product. When we get returns of this stock, they tell us to destroy them… there's a reason why they cost .01c, and its not due to paypal hacking.

You guys all got ripped off… When you go to the Vendors site you can change your currency to AUD. Then it only costs 1c not 2c… Thats 50% cheaper!!!
And checkout with PayPal it says $0.01 USD
