while a download code is better, this really is still just advertising as there is no saving to be had, other than $1 from EB

So basically the game for free? That's pretty good :)

$598, also the same resolution the game runs in 598p… kidding :D

(Waits for all the negs lol)

    • Keep in mind its Microsoft doing this price not the individual stores. There's quite a few articles about it they are giving Titanfall (Digital) free with purchase of any xbox one console in the world

  • Might see if i can get it price matched at BigW. It isnt a bad deal to get an xbox one and a new game as a bundle, but $1 is hardly something to write home about. You can get it home delivered from xbox live market pre-order for $599 with free shipping.

Smells more like advertising than a deal…

Don't all Xbone's come with Kinect?

Good to get the word out but IMO $1 off RRP isn't a "bargain". Pretty sure all decent electronics stores will have this as the standard Xbox One package come titanfall launch day. Nothing special here… More a public service announcement. Better suited to the forums.

Also… Keep in mind the "cost" of downloading the game… Make sure to allocate yourself around 15-20gb of your Internet allowance for the titanfall download and a bit more for any Xbox One console update.

      • Good point. For those on iiNet or internode, xbox live downloads do not count towards the quota.

Not a fan of all these bundles only having download codes. Not everyone has the quota to download games that are upwards of 30gigs or so! :(

    • i would imagine if you have no problem paying $600 for a console 3 months after launch you already got the FHD LCD to go with it and the unlimited internet

      • i'm assuming from Tazzy95's nickname that they are in Tasmania and therefore likely to be sadly internet-challenged

      • No, not everyone is so lucky. There are many of us that have to suffer with pure shite for internet because Telstra is too much of an incompetent and cheap bastard to fix the network in our area making a 30gig download not really a plausible option unless we are willing to play the game several days at best after we buy it (just like your standard MMO, or EA lauch lol).

        • Where did this 30gb figure come from, pretty sure my beta download was a tad smaller

    • If internet is a problem, don't buy an Xbox One as there's quite a bit of downloading required anyway

Any sale for the PS4 + Titan Fall?

    • PS5+Titan Fall 2.

  • Code bundles are in microsoft's best interests. Can't return or trade in a code once used.

    • Sure, but the old ones were often specially marked as 'Bundle Editions' , and you can't return it without the console + trade in values were low.

  • Looks like you get another bonus game in the UK, Titanfall bundle plus one game of your choice (small selection)

My flat mate went to EB games and tried to get a deal, he got

    Xbox one ($598)
    Fifa 14 ($98)
    Forza 5 ($98)
    Additional Controller ($98)
    12 months Xbox live ($75)

Sould have been $967, haggled the 17 year old member of staff (most experienced in the shop) down to $880.

I am looking at buying the console in the next week or 2, is this deal as good as can be expected or would anyone else have an opinion?
