Hi All,

Interesting product today at a very sharp price. The Spoutnik 360 degree view Spherical Microwave Oven - originally selling on launch for $439, its been around just recently at some of the "high street" stores for as low as $269.

Cool design, good reviews around the place - probably not the kind of style for everyone's kitchen but nonetheless a pretty interesting unit!

Shipping varies as it weighs 12kg and will be shipped to you via Auspost, you can key your postcode into the shipping tab on the product page to get an exact cost, starts from about $8.95 for Vic Metro and $9.95 for SA/NSW/Canberra Metros etc…

      Did you find the shipping estimator clear and concise enough, as we have 1 price for the item by itself, another if there is a "box" already open with other products so to speak (as its cheaper to put more than 1 item in the box for Auspost if they are small enough), and then another shipping cap type thing for small items.

      I tried to make it as clear as I could, but its a bit rough in my opinion, any thoughts and feedback on the layout or wording or any way to make the shipping clearer for the everyday shopper is most appreciated :)

        I didn't look closely, but my first impressions were good. I'll never buy a product if I can't estimate shipping first, unless I'm already signed up and/or it's an absolute ripper of a deal.

        The spam thing (see below) is a concern though.

      I'd love to say yes but that would be untrue, sorry! :( They will be shipping first thing next week. 98%+ of our lines are in stock and ready to go and most orders do ship same or next days (within 24 hrs) but in this case our stock is in transit.

      Hope that's not too much of a let down. I believe we are generally one of the faster shippers out there, we have a very good new backorder / warehouse management system which helps us a lot.

      Hollykryten I'd hope nuking our food would be a thing of the past soon :) Imagine being able to 3D print a nice hot shephards pie or roast meal, how awesome would that be!

      Check out http://www.startrek.com/article/star-trek-replicator-nearing… there is some interesting work being done in that area - hopefully in my lifetime I can enjoy a nice printed or replicated meal in the retirement home LOL.

    i received spam from clubretail australia out of the blue today. reported to acma. avoid them!

      I just got spam from clubretail too, shortly after reading this post's link. Instant neg.

      Mattgal, did you see the other paragraph in the email's footer?

      "IMBKK / Postaloffers work vigilantly against unwanted email and we take reports very seriously. To flag this client email as unsolicited, please click this link and we will action your complaint accordingly."

    They have taken/bought the email list from discounton.com.au
    Or discounton.com.au have sold their email list to them.
    (I have individual emails per site so I know)

    This is of course supposedly against discounton privacy policy.

      I reported the SPAM to discounton and their reply was thus…
      (I choose to believe discounton and have reported to ACMA, but have also placed a complaint at clubretail to hear their side)

      We really appreciate you getting in touch with us as we believe a previous employee of our company that left months ago to start their own business and was previously a webmaster with our company, having full access to our database as an employee but legally not allowed to contact or use this information ever is doing exactly that.

      We have had a few people now contacting us saying they are being spammed from this austpost domain by this dishonest individual named: (MOD: name removed) who has even gone to the lengths of setting up this www/austoposte.com fake domain with a fake profile as well pretending to be marketing company advertising on behalf of their new business: www.clubretail.com .

      This is extremely concerning and we are trying to mount a legal case against them to stop this highly illegal and criminal activity.

      Can you please assist us by contacting the ACMA regarding the spamming from clubretail and also send us a copy of the email received from them as evidence for us to take legal action against them.

      We also encourage you to contact them and let them know you are aware of their dishonest and illegal activity.

      We have never sold or given our database to anyone and are extremely concerned regarding the theft of our database from these unscrupulous individuals.

      We appreciate your assistance in this matter and hopefully we can close down this criminal activity from this individual.
