    FYI

20% and 50% off discount offer applies to the base fare portion of the total fare and discount is not applied to the taxes and surcharges portion of the total fare.

    • In other words, that translates to 10 - 25‰ discount. Not that good a deal for cattle class.

    PER-KUL 06/05/14 @ $145
    KUL-PER 13/05/14 @ $87

    Nice!!!

How bout you try playing with the dates instead of asking for proof ?

You seem to have something against Airasia deals.

          Favour.

      I don't understand the 50% off.

KUL-PER 13/5/14 at $87, but originally was $91. How does that come to 50%?

      • +1

the add says UP to 50%

        • haha, weird advert anyways.

But is still very cheap, not complaining, just wondering how they calculated that to be '50% off' lol.

wow if 232 and half of that, i would be flying every weekend!

Firstly the ad blatantly states "To KL".

Secondly it's 50% off the BASE RATE, excludes taxes and other fees.

      • when did actually the DISCOUNT RATE show up? I've tried many times and no discount at all?

Does it show up in the payment page or paypal login/payment page or after the paypal payment?

would be really great if you would reply my questions. thanks :)

Got Perth to KL over the June long weekend for $257!

I was surprised this promotion was targeted towards Australians (although I didn't get the e-mail) since I understand it's not very legal in Australia to advertise discounts on base fares. Scoot normally has these 50% off base fare advertisements for Singaporeans but not for us, for example.

From a quick navigation I didn't understand if the discounts were already applied or not. Selecting credit card options rather than Paypal only seemed to add the credit card fee but not increase the price of flight but I'm a little busy right now to double check.

Unfortunately, for the 'Low Fare' options, it seems the base fare is $8, and therefore $4 with the discount. Taxes unchanged $141 and $83 each way (PER <-> KUL). Better discount for Premium though.

Still, a decent price at $145 and $87 total each way. Cheapest I've seen in a while.

    • Great tip regarding Premium. Thanks! Thanks to the OP too!!

  • $232 return for people from Perth. Its not business class :( but its an awesome deal.

    • Wow, that's great!

Great deal, too bad it might be overshadowed by the $224 Premium class deal.
    Thanks OP.

  • Great Deal 4 x Syd to KL return for $1372 - Boys week in Asia!

      lady boys?

    • Wear protection. That's my advice.

  • Adds around $50 for one piece of checked-in baggage.

  • Crapola !! they couldn't have had this 2 weeks ago when I booked ? aghhh

    PER > KUL $145 on 20th May
    KUL > PER $112 on 27th May

I closed out of the Paypal link and went to AirAsia.com, put in the same dates and the prices are exactly the same.

I don't see where this up to 50% saving is coming from. I looked at a few other dates too and couldn't find any that had been discounted via the PayPal promo.

    • 50% off base fare, before fees and taxes.
On AirAsia the majority of the fare is usually fees and taxes.
So the real discount may well be 20% or less.

I booked my tickets yesterday. I got the same price without any coupons code.

    Fix title please?
I thought its 50% off all flights and not just to KL.

  • would have been good if it there were deals for early July when I actually need to travel. but good discount nonetheless

  • which places give up 50% off?

  • Where do you apply the coupon code?

    • "To access this special offer, simply click on the link."

  • Better take travel insurance if you are paying through PayPal. Anything goes wrong Air Asia will turn their back( that should be expected when you are paying so less)
If you are paying by credit card most of them offers basic travel insurance

  • If I was going to book flights from kl to thailand…does that mean i have to check out and check back in / go through customs and immigration etc?

    • That is correct. Airport staff will definitely NOT book your baggage through to Thailand from Aust. unless it is a fly-thru (Single) booking. No visa needed for Australians into Kuala Lumpur though, and rarely need to do the finger print scan. Also note that as of today 7 March, AirAsia have changed the time for flights FD316 from 22.20 to 20.50. Sometimes the immigration queue is long but can get through in about half hour. I am risking a connection of 3 hrs & 20 mins. I am nervously confident.

Please correct title. It is "Up to 50% off base fares". This is completely misleading to say "Up to 50% off flights".

  • when did actually the DISCOUNT RATE show up? I've tried many times and no discount at all. any help?

  • I tried the link today and it is not applying any discount at all… i tried it yesterday and it was. Does anybody else have this issue today?
