SONY NEX-6 16-50mm Single Lens Kit $699 from JB HIFI

150

This deal might not that great making Ozbargainers excited about ,but still a good price for local stock I think.

Anyway, you may find cheaper ones from grey importers or from JB's past deal ($679.15), but anyone interested in JB's deal would better go to the local store and ask JB for the best price they can offer if you pick up and pay cash (if possible lower as $660 ish ? ). Good luck.

  • im tossing up between this and the fujifilm x-e1 or x-e2…

    • Get the cheaper one ; ) personally prefer NEX 6.

    • Both great mirror less but Fuji kit lens are better by a huge margin that's why Fuji kit lens sells for more than 600 dollars alone. Where next kit lens are just on par with any other manufacturer standard kit lens such as canon, Nikon 18-55mm. Personally I will always go for the lens then the body.

  • Not bad. Slightly cheaper if you're near a Digidirect store http://www.digidirect.com.au/slr_cameras/sony/sony_alpha_nex…

Unless you can get JB to shave a few bucks off.

    • Thank for the input. From my experience, JB will definitely make better deal if showing them the price from Digidirect link .

      • Yeah they should if they want a sale. Good luck to everyone who'll be getting this.

  • Great price… thought my eyes are on a Alpha 6000 when they get released next month

    • Alpha 6000 won't be cheap when release. Sony is doing clearance on all NEX cameras, the price for NEX 6 may drop further to $650 I guess.

  • Bing Lee offered a free 16GB card as well with the camera for the same price.

  • Great deal:) thinking to get one

  • The NEX-6 is basically superceded now. The A6000 is the replacement and receiving good initial reviews. It's a fair bit more expensive though.

  • A6000 with lens is listed as $1075 at Digidirect.

That may still change when it's released (seems like a lot considering it's USD798 at Amazon) but in case that's the local price, that's around $400 more than the NEX 6. I like the A6000 a lot but you could put that money towards a decent lens.

If the A6000 is only $200 more than the NEX 6, I might be tempted to get it. But not if $400 more.

    • That is possible - I managed to do it ;-)

  • I was under the impression that NEX-6 does NOT have touchscreen?

    • You are right. It doesn't, neither A6000 has a touch screen.

  • Great camera but wait until JB's has its regular 15% off sale if you can.

    • somehow im assuming when its 15% off, price will go back up
